Several family complications in this episode while being very well written and nurturing! The business stuff is so damn good, I absolutely love the sayings and metaphors! So much filled into 1 hour and 3 minutes which is enriching. Very profound dialogue and well worth anyone's time.
The way tension builds from the beginning of this episode makes it a terrific episode. That end-credit score is wow. Kendall vs Shiv has been one of my favourite thing to watch so far in this season.
In "Argestes," tensions within the Roy family reach a boiling point as the episode centers around a corporate retreat where Waystar Royco's executives hope to salvage the PGM acquisition deal. The idyllic, snowy setting of Argestes provides a stark contrast to the internal chaos brewing within the company. This episode is a pivotal moment for the season as it focuses on the looming threat of a scandal tied to Waystar's cruise division, which has been buried for years. The episode's opening scene introduces the ticking time bomb, as journalists prepare to expose the cover-up, forcing Logan and his team into damage control mode.
Logan, typically in control, finds himself cornered as he faces mounting pressure from both inside and outside the company. Brian Cox excels in portraying Logan's quiet rage, as he grows increasingly frustrated with his inability to contain the crisis. His character, usually calm and calculating, unravels slightly in the face of a problem that threatens his empire, providing a fascinating glimpse into Logan's vulnerability. Kendall, once again in his father's shadow, is tasked with managing the crisis, further solidifying his role as Logan's go-to fixer. Jeremy Strong's portrayal of Kendall's loyalty to his father is chilling, as he sacrifices any remaining sense of personal integrity to protect the company.
The episode's most gripping scene occurs during a tense meeting between the Roys and the Pierce family, where the cracks in the PGM deal begin to show. The Pierces, who value their reputation above all else, are unwilling to align themselves with a company embroiled in scandal. The direction here is sharp, with each glance and subtle movement heightening the tension. The performances across the board are outstanding, with Sarah Snook's Shiv subtly maneuvering to gain favor with Logan, while Kieran Culkin's Roman continues to inject moments of dark humor into the high-stakes situation. The cinematography captures the cold, isolating atmosphere of the retreat, mirroring the detachment between the Roys and their own moral compass. "Argestes" is a tightly wound episode, and by the end, the family's empire feels more precarious than ever.

Episode 6: Derailing a little (too much) in this episode with very long minutes of talking, some baseless business and personal accusations (on both sides), very good acting as always, though Logan is long out of control, irascible, suspicious and becoming a little more paranoiac by episode, also thinking that the world is turning around him and that he can (always) have it his way.
Well, not always.
Well, not always.
She is by far my favorite. I know that's not helpful to understand the episode more, but she was amazing in this episode.
