Underrated Gem. Betaal Deserves More Love and Definitely a Season 2
I just finished watching Betaal and honestly, it completely blew me away. It's one of those rare Indian web series that hooks you from the very beginning and never lets go. The suspense, tension, and horror are consistent from start to finish.
What makes Betaal stand out is the way it blends Indian folklore with zombie horror and military drama. The concept is fresh, the execution is sharp, and the intensity never drops. Indian web series usually struggle when it comes to top-tier VFX, but Betaal is different. The visual effects are surprisingly good. From the zombies to the overall atmosphere, everything looks polished and believable. That in itself is a huge win.
Viineet Kumar Singh as Vikram Sirohi brings real emotional weight to the series. His performance is powerful and grounded. Aahana Kumra as DC Ahlu is fierce, confident, and brings depth to her character. Suchitra Pillai plays Tyagi with such eerie authority that she becomes one of the most memorable parts of the show. And Jitendra Joshi as Ajay Mudhalvan adds another layer of brilliance to the cast. Every actor plays their role with conviction and realism.
Credit goes to Patrick Graham and the entire team for creating something so unique in the Indian OTT space. The story is engaging, the pacing is tight, and the horror is genuinely unsettling. There's a clear vision behind every scene.
This is easily one of the most underrated Indian series I've come across. It deserves way more recognition and without a doubt, a Season 2. The ending leaves room for the story to continue and honestly, I hope it does.
If you're into thrillers that actually thrill you and horror that feels fresh, then Betaal is a must-watch. It's not just another web series. It's an experience.
