This second half of the fourth season continues the strengths and weaknesses of the first half, which is no great surprise given they were made as one effort. Essentially I could copy/paste my comments from the first half, and probably just typing this I'll end up basically doing that anyway. These handful of episodes are mostly creative, profane, and consistently funny. The nature of the show has a lot of energy and embraces its own absurdity, and this alone makes it worth seeing. However it is without question that some aspects have slid from those of the previous seasons. In particular the development of character, and plots that services that development. The final episode of this set does have a bit of a satb at that, but it feels too little / too late, and the nature of the plot seemed too big for it to have just occurred out of nowhere as it did.
This element gave the show a lot of its teeth, because no matter how absurd or silly it was, it was always recognisable in its characters, and it had that grounding. Without this, it is still funny, but it does lack quite a bit. Related to this the lack of world building matters too - previous seasons seemed to expand upon the bigger world, and draw in more characters, but these episodes mostly standalone as funny and clever adventures - which is fine but again takes away something from the show as a whole (and some characters returning in the final episode didn't compensate at all for this).
Overall it is still a funny and clever show, but this fourth season loses a lot by weaknesses in the writing of characters and "bigger picture" narratives.
