Because this series was amazing, and I'll be damned if this doesn't do well enough for a second season. The cinematography is epic, the soundtrack is fantastic, and the documentary itself is exciting and entertaining while being actually educational. Bravo all around. I hope this project continues.
The footage of the wolves is amazing. It's definitely worth seeing for anyone who is interested in or loves wolves. The problem is that FAR too much time is spent showing the photographer and his activities. I have no way of knowing if this is the result of his choices or the editor's, but it's incredibly distracting and disappointing. Let's lose the ego and show the subject.

I have watched all three episodes - three separate times. It is that good. I keep coming back. If there was only one nature video/movie that I could watch - this would be it. The cinematography is outstanding as is the storyline and the narration. Jenny Jules did an outstanding job. Her words are measured and powerful. Nothing is in excess and each word rightfully and respectfully adds to this poignant story. It is now almost three years later and there is no follow up on this phenomenal series? A travesty. Of all the trash that gets produced that we are not allowed to follow this pack further in their quest to survive and flourish is an outrage. Don't miss this video. You will carry it with you as a measure of how an outstanding filming of wolves should be approached.
Have loved nature documentaries for a long time and try to see as many as possible. Wolves are absolutely fascinating animals and whenever they appear on documentaries they are captured amazingly on footage. Footage with a very wide range of emotions and more than once a "how was this even filmed" sensation. Had never personally seen any documentary that focused solely on them and in a way different to usual, until 'Kingdom of the White Wolf' came along.
'Kingdom of the White Wolf' is a gem of a series. When it comes to anything documentary-related about wolves, it doesn't get much better or more comprehensive than 'Kingdom of the White Wolf'. Proof that wolves should be shown on screen a good deal more than they are and that there should be more documentaries available based solely around them. Also loved its different approach, seeing it from the point of view and journey of Ronan Donovan as well as the wolves.
Expectedly, 'Kingdom of the White Wolf' looks wonderful. It is beautifully shot and enhances the truly enchanting but also unforgiving scenery. The wolves are a mix of majestic, adorable, caring and intelligent and it was easy to invest in what they have to go through good and bad.
The information is very entertaining but is also very educational, despite wolves being familiar animals there is a lot that is illuminating, and emotionally investable. Delivered with sincerity and enthusiasm by Donovan himself, whose personal journey is as interesting and investable as that of the wolves. The footage is cute, tense and moving in equal measure, it doesn't hold back on any uncompromising moments but there is plenty that entertains and charms greatly.
Overall, an absolute gem. 10/10.

I just really hope there's more seasons, it was really a great production. And I can't wait to see what happens with the family. One of the best National Geographic series out there! This show made me wanna go camping, literally!
