The Pretty Thing

A simple horror - maybe too simple - with a precise effect. A girl in a wooden room. Phone texting. A window and something who can be a mask. And the revelation. Well crafted, giving the right expected thrill, good first for atmosphere.

The strange figure's mask and the overall execution of the film might not be top-tier, but the core idea of the story is actually quite good. I especially enjoyed the ending-it was laughable in a fun way and surprisingly satisfying. Without going into details to avoid spoilers, I'll just say it was well-done and unexpectedly decent for a horror short.

What really caught my attention was the environment. The house itself looked unusual and genuinely creepy, the kind of location that could inspire many more interesting horror shorts in the future.
