Secret Beyond the Door

This new season is awesome! I watched it because I loved season 1 and I loved Lana Parrilla on Once upon a time, and I'm loving the combination of these two elements. Lana is deliciously sardonic as Rita, just as we expected, and the rest of the cast and the storyline is also really good! If you haven't seen Once upon a time and you want to see more of Lana's acting, go watch it, she's amazing! I can't wait to see the next episodes!

Can't wait for more episode! I would watch again to make sure I won't missed anything.

What a step down from season 1. :( S1 offered us 3 storylines in 3 eras with multiple relatable characters and several actresses and actors with household names.

S2 is offering 1 telenovela story with a very traditional grey-mouse housewife and a schematic trophy wife as main characters, played by experienced and skilled, but not globally-known actresses. Apart from Nick Frost's character, the men here are not even worth mentioning yet.

I didn't watch any trailers nor promos beforehand so the episode was a surprise to me, I was expecting so much more and I kept hoping there would be a second storyline starting soon. It's still watchable and even enjoyable, I will check out the second episode, but... I'm so disappointed.

Annoying that some think this is a poor relation to the first series. No point copying the exact same format. The reason why the first series is good is its originality and format. To do the same again would not be doing the same again.

The characters are better than the first series if not the same stellar cast. I'm only one episode in but really looking forward to the remaining ones. Loving the dark comedy and the whole feel that this decade brings to the screen. Nice choice of narrator too! You'll see what I mean...

I will review the whole series later but based on this first episode, it gets a 10 from me.

The last episode of season 1 seemed to be setting the show up for another set of interlinking stories, which was so effectively managed in the first season. However, this 1st episode occurs as if the end of the previous series had never occurred - it's stuck firmly in the past, and just doesn't have the same style and panache of season 1. Hoping it improves; but I won't be continuing to watch if it doesn't.
