With multinational input, the ISS is currently the largest single structure humans have put into space. Constructed between1998 and 2011, and continuously occupied since November 2000, it now weighs 391 tonnes. The first module, the Russia Zarya, was launched by a Proton rocket 20 Nov 1998. Two weeks later, STS 88, a space shuttle flight, added the NASA Unity, or Node 1 module. Astronauts from STS 88 then connected the two parts of the station together. The truss, solar panels and airlocks were launched in stages throughout the ISS lifetime and in 2017 new docking adapters were added for future commercial spacecraft arrivals. Current plans are to operate to 2024 and maybe 2028.

GPO AMETHYST is a Heavy Lift Vessel built in 2018, currently sailing under the flag of Marshall Islands. With a carrying capacity of 63581 t DWT and a draught of 8.7 meters, her length overall is 225.01 meters and her width is 48.02 meters. Her four 9600Hp diesel engines drive generators to produce 8000Kw for the electric stern drive motors, which turn her variable pitch twin propellers.

Designed by the Antonov Design Bureau in the Ukrain, Soviet Union during the 1980s, the Antonov An-225 Mriya is a strategic airlift cargo aircraft. With a maximum takeoff weight of 640 tonnes, it is powered by six Progress D-18T turbofan engines and is the heaviest aircraft ever built.

In Dubai, United Arab Emirates stands the Burj Khalifa. Completed in 2009, at a total height of 829.8 m it is the tallest structure and building in the world. It also holds the records for the highest number of floors, tallest service elevator, highest outdoor observation deck and highest number of stories amongst others.

Situated in Kallang, Singapore, the new National Stadium was completed in 2013 and opened on 30 June 2014. It was built on the site of the former National Stadium, which closed in 2007 and was demolished in 2010. With a seating capacity of 55 000 people, it boasts the world's largest retractable domed roof.

With an area of almost 6.5 million m², the Volkswagen Factory situated in Wolfsburg, Germany, is one of the largest manufacturing plants in the world. The Headquarters of Volkswagen, has produced 45 million cars since 1945. Believe it or not the plant also manufactures Volkswagen Currywurst, a brand of sausage.
