Romance Dawn

This episode is by far better that the anime beginnings. I had a hard time watching the anime at first because the first 80 episodes are childish and slow paced. This episode had it's funny moments but also is very well paced, serious and has good actions sequences. I think it can attract a lot of people that have never been able to get through the first episodes of the anime. Special effects are very decent. Soundtrack is great. Loving this show so far and I hope it doesn't get the cowboy bebop treatment. Netflix tends to cut their shows really quickly, hopefully they can figure out a way to bring this show on par with the lengthy anime/manga series. I wanted to keep the review shorter but "requirements". Enjoy the show peeps!

I don't really know what to say about this other than I really enjoyed it. I will admit you do have to give it 10min as the first few min so feel a bit rushed and it goes by a little too fast in my opinion however after that it gets right into the meat of the story. The characters are great and there is a lot of heart and emotion to them which I really liked. I really hope the rest of the series is as good as this first episode. This show won't be for everyone I mean some of the characters are very cartoonish which isn't surprising considering the source material however it can take some getting used to. I think it is well worth pushing through though. I really hope this is successful as I want to see more and experience the one piece story in its entirety for myself as I am not caught up on the anime.

Ok I am a huge fan. But they have done so good to adapt it to live action! It has never been done before with such success on any anime/manga series.

The fight scenes 10/10 The actors 10/10 The cinematics 10/10

Just finished the first episode and wow! Made be shed a tear out of pure joy and hype!

Yes, a few differences, but they have been done so good it actually compliments the storyline further with such grave you will think it has always been there!

To anyone that hates on this - I cannot understand you. They have literally given us all a pure joy ride done magnificently well!

I am a big One Piece fan for like 15 years now. I read the manga and watch the anime. This Live-action is so good not just because I am a fan of One Piece but because the story was changed in a realistic way and you can see the dedications of the actors in portraying their characters. Oda-sensei had a lot of breaks because he got too busy for the premier of this Live-action and I feel so happy that I could see how he really supported this. I have seen a lot of vlogs today from nonfans of One Piece and they got hooked on the story which made them curious of the anime and manga. I am just happy to see them starting to appreciate the story. You know, good things should be shared and appreciated.

Just wow.. I never expected this.. I entered the series with low expectations but it surprised me.. Finally a live series adapted from an anime that is great and successful.. They literally killed it.. The series is visually stunning and I very much loved the way of narration and how different it is from the anime.. Same events But it has an interesting, realistic nature... and it takes us to the same conclusion in the end... The dialogues are the only thing that is better in the series than the anime for me... although the comparison is not valid, but frankly, they were creative... the way Luffy met Zoro and Nami, the comedy, and all this scenario was very great. The acting is very good. I literally fell in love with the character of Zoro and the actor portrayed the role excellently. I have a simple comment about Luffy. It is clear that the actor is trying to become Luffy but I don't know why I feel that something is missing... He is good but It is clear that he has not watched One Piece and is still trying To understand the character in a deeper way.. Nami is wonderful.. The series in terms of photography and cinematography is great.. The CGI hill is great and the adaptation of places is great.. Of course I will continue the journey because the series has truly entered my heart.
