Don't Feed the Freaks

The Freaks in this short film by David Armsby will surely fill you with wonder and curiosity for the unknown and the undesired. The story is well done as it never tells you exactly what is going on but, through watching out for and remembering details, you can start to understand a little bit more of the world in which Autodale exists.

A new piece in the Autodale story. This time, we're following someone not from Autodale, but someone actually searching for it. He's heard that Autodale is a legendary "paradise" where people are still happy and pretty despite the post-apocalyptic world. Of course, we know what those words really mean in the robotic dystopia-but people like the protagonist don't.

All he's ever known is the desolate wasteland and the freaks-strange beasts that wander aimlessly or stare into nothingness. Anything else would likely feel like paradise to him.

I think this episode is somewhat more symbolic than the previous ones. Here, the question of who the real beast is gets challenged in an interesting way. Also worth noting: this episode includes several nods to earlier entries like Being Pretty and Monsters.

Love Armsby series of little films from Autodale. Very Creepy and disturbing. I'm with the Freaks and I'll feed whoever I damn well please, so mind your own bees wax! :O The Freaks are always more fun than the Fakes and the Phoneys!!
