El Camino de Xico

Pretty cool animation of Mexican production, although the poster misleads the viewer because I thought it was a computer animation, and it's a simple 2D, cartoon animation.

Very accurate view of the risks of unsustainable mining and consequences for nature and people and ... fun!

The rating is way too low. Yes, the characters are a bit one-sided, and yes, the story sometimes lacks of consistensy, but it is an animated movie made for children/family. And it woks perfectly in that regards. Visually stunning - a little bit similar to my beloved Tomm Moore movies, magical, and there are symbols everywhere. Culturally I guess is quite nice, but it's not my my place to judge from Europe. And it teaches a very important lesson.

A Mexican animated film. It is about some people from a town who want to knock down a mountain and a girl with her best friend and her dog must save her. Excess of imagination that pleases. Characteristics of Mexican culture, although at times she feels loaded with a doctor, she makes a wonderful journey through culture: Mexican animals, joy. In 2D, although the animation is good, certain gestures and expressions in the characters were left behind. Parsimonious at times. It starts at a good pace and in the middle you feel that it lengthens a lot but the character to whom Alex Lora lends the voice completely saves the film and is the one who takes the comedy part, bringing the film to fruition. Predictable like all of the genre. Ideal for the whole family.

La trama es contradictoria y apenas sobre Xico, la calidad de la animación oscila entre decente e embarazosa, es bien obvio que los escritores no entienden que es el fracking porque lo describieron como un antivaxer describe las vacunas.

Y lo más horrible la película parece usar la raza como un símbolo de la moralidad de sus personajes.

Pero me gustó El Tlacuache, él fue fantástico, estuve completamente absorto cada vez el estuvo en la pantalla.

The plot is contradictory and Hardly about Xico, the quality of animation varies between decent and cringeworthy and its very obvious that the writers don't know understand what fracking is because they talk about fracking like an antivaxer talks about vaccines.

Worst of all they use race as shorthand for the morality of the characters.

I did like the possum(el tlacuache), he was great, I was completely absorbed whenever he was on the screen.
