The Taste of Death

So many characters have such an amazing development in this episode, Roswaal and Beatrice are given a whole new level of depth, many new interesting questions about Satella arise and we are getting one of the most intimidating endings of the series.

So much is thrown into this episode, and i simply love all of it. The score does a great job at undermining this unusually gruesome episode and supports the breaking sanity of Subaru .

We also see that Subaru has now become an entirely different person, his impulsiveness is slowly fainting, as he arises as a great strong character from a tower of his own corpses.

Last but no least, this episode really shows that Subaru's invincibility doesn't make the events that happened in the timelines where he died useless as you might expect from an anime like this. Instead of forming the world around Subaru this anime is progressing by forming and developing Subaru himself, and the challenge that he has to face is not to survive, but to hold on to his own sanity while he tries to save himself and everyone else. This idea was simply amazing and is transmitted into the anime in an awesome way. I still don't understand how one can make a series that literally deletes negative consequences out of actions and even makes character deaths inconclusive still so intriguing and amazing.

This episode is what I've been waiting for in Re-Zero. It's a rollercoaster of emotions scene after scene. It contains all the ingredients to make it the top choice for best episode of this anime: character development (particularly Beatrice and Rosewall), action, sadness, mystery, fantastic soundtrack and a spectacular ending. I cannot wait to see what this anime has left to offer.

Without spoiling anything about s2 or re zero in particular. This is one of those hero in aot , e21 in steins gate e25 in death note moments where something so bizzare happens you cant even believe it is all happening in one episode. Re zero just. Went zero to 100 in this episode. With some really great episodes in s2...part 1...this outdoes them by a margin unexpectedly high.

I created an imdb account to post this review and rate it and that is something i have never done before.. So yea...this was that good.
