This movie may have changed my life for the better.
Let me first start off by asking - What were they thinking? By they I mean everyone involved with this movie. The acting is terrible. The story is terrible. The filming is terrible. The studio effects are a joke. This is so so so so so bad. I really tried to watch this. I even stopped about a quarter of the way through, went for a walk, gave myself a pep talk and tried watching it again. It was torture but I persevered. It didn't get any better. It only got worse. Like watching an animal slowly die, it just got worse and worse and left a sickening feeling in my stomach once it was all over. I felt so guilty for the time I had wasted that I actually made a commitment to cancel my Prime membership and instead get more active to make up for the time lost on this garbage.

The names Hemsworth and Freeman got my attention. Then the Prime Video score suggested it was worth a try. However, 10 minutes into it I realized I was tricked. This movie is just awful. No kidding. It's bad! The fighting scenes are about a five out of ten. The rest was just bad acting and off-sync sound effects. They threw in a nude bar scene to try and spice things up. The closing song was Amazing Grace. Can you believe it? So much of this movie was bad a script. Everything was so contrived. The Young boys acting was the best part of the performance. Hemsworth had the right look, but he just lost it with all the bad Fight choreography.
I considered battlefield earth the worst movie to have good actors in it, but this one is the new king!
Terrible acting. It was obvious that they used non-actors where they could. The writing reminded me of a 80's jean Claude Vandamme or Steven seagal movie, but the worst thing was the special effects!
The parachute scenes are laughable at best, the muzzle flashes look like a cartoon, and apparently no one on the staff Knows anything about firearms since the bad guys are shooting all tracer rounds, and glocks don't go "click" when they are out of ammo!
As a resident of Birmingham, I'm embarrassed that this movie was filmed here.
I tried to give it no stars, but it won't let me.

I was looking at the reviews debating if I should watch this and I thought surely it can be as bad as all these one to three star reviews say it is. It actually intrigued me even more to watch it. And Morgan Freeman is there how bad can it really be? Spoiler: don't make the same mistake I made, the bad reviews are spot on.
The entire time watching this I was thinking this could have been a perfectly average action flick. The god awful CGI is the main factor that completely tackles this film from being acceptable to being ridiculous. I haven't seen CGI this bad in 20 years, and the fact it has Freeman and one of the Hemsworth brothers in it makes me believe they had enough of a budget to have decent CGI.
Second thing is the soundtrack. The songs seem so random and not aligned with the scenes at all. The first fighting scene in the forest has this jolly jazz track over it and at the scene in the stripclub they play this sweet innocent lovesong that seems more in place in a teenage Disney show. I was waiting for them to play 'Call me Maybe' at the end scene.
I would give 1 star but the bad CGI and random soundtrack were so laughable that in the end it did entertain me, for all the wrong reasons but still.

I was not even able to go 50mins in before I finally had to rage quit!
How invincible do you have to be that shots from assault rifles don't touch you (while you're unmoving target, and flashes of bullets wheezing past you)!
I thought it was just me until I saw other people's reviews!
The fight scenes were just senseless. So, I'd rather wait for you to fight with girls with knives, while I hold on to my gun and waiting my turn?
Many many things are just not it in this movie.
Then the continuity? Poor. I could count how many times someone went back to be blown into the air again after an explosion
This was so bad I had to create an account to drop a review.
Not. Worth. Your. Time!

¿Sabías que…?
- TriviaThe exploding truck toward the end of the movie required extra care because filming was done at an historic site. There was a crowd of people watching the explosions that were not visible when filming but were obscured by trees on set.
- ErroresKendrick Ryker steals a translucent red screwdriver from the truck and hides in his sleeve. Then, when he stabs Lee Gunner with it, it's clear with red accents.
