I don't know what to say about this show, that hasn't already been said or explored in various reviews, articles, and videos here and there, but none of them, to me, seem to have pointed out why the show leaves a feeling of hopelessness, and emptiness.

Having watched the end a couple of times, it keeps getting to me, this emptiness and after having watched the show all over again, I think I finally have a proper assessment of why I keep getting it.

Because the show is not as deep as various other shows or movies regarding criminals or outlaws as such and while the relationship between David and Lucy is wonderful, it isn't new or particularly daring. However, that doesn't explain why the end makes me feel or others feel the way that it does.

I believe that it's the city, the life in it and the inescapable existence from it that is the reason. To escape and stand up to yourself, they have to incorporate technology into themselves, which also, with time, leads to their downfall. We also only know about this city, Night City, and are never shown a better place or told of a better life other than it's the city where you can survive, but it can also engulf you and tear you apart. The moon, seems to only be a metaphor of only for a brief trip, to getting away from the unforgiving, hopeless and cyber-psycosis stench of Night City.

That the feeling I get. It's a hopeless world where your savior is also your curse. Good is unrewarding, evil manifests and love is brief. What a show! Dares to sell the idea of the incredible, yet completely dystopian world of Cyperpunks.

Wow what an amazing season finale; was not expecting this show to resonate with me this much even though I've played and beat the game that this show is based off multiple times. That being said wow. This. Episode. The whole show I was invested in David and Lucy's relationship but in this episode it all came together into an honestly perfect finale for a show like this. All the character arcs and motives came to an end in this episode and just ah I'm fresh off watching the ending and it stuck with me so much, those last 10 or so minutes are some of the best I've seen this year in any season finale and when those two characters kiss in front of the moon just made me lose it and it was so beautiful to watch. Thank you to studio trigger and CDPR for making this amazing show. 10000/10.

2nd saddest thing ive ever fkn watched, i dont think ive ever watched a better 10-12 episode anime/show than cyberpunk edgerunners. My 2nd maybe 3rd favourite anime. If your looking to watch this, please never watch it, it will leave you so depressed. And if you ever.. EVER think about watching attack on titan ALSO, please please please never ever watch it, saddest show ive ever watched by an unbelievable amount. Cyberpunk edgerunners track list was also amazing. I really want to stay at your house still makes me cry to this day. I hope this helped guys, and dont watch cyberpunk edgerunners or attack on titan pls pls pls :)

Cyberpunk edgerunners was straight up beautiful chaos bro. The animation is wild the energy is nonstop the music... that "I Really Want to Stay at Your House" song had me floating. Davids whole journey hits hard he had dreams, got lost in the madness. As someone who played cyberpunk 2077 AND LOVED THE GAME Studio Trigger went off. It's more than anime it's a neon spiral of love, loss, and surviving in a world that doesnt care they captured the vibe and aesthetic of cyberpunk so well. Amazing short series anime if anyone is getting into anime and needs a short series I will definitely recommend cyberpunk edgerunners.

The visuals, the story and the characters are well done in such a short runtime of 10 episodes, one of the best shows i have seen in a while, and I don't say that lighty.

Ending was amazing and I wish we could have seen more episodes for it to hit even harder the it did. The song "I Really Want to Stay at Your House" was a bop at the begging, but now, after finishing the series, it brings back the pain, which i think is a nice touch. All the ost's are well done, and complement the action well.

The show really dosent hold back on its scenes, and combied with great wrighting and cast you care about, make for a masterpiece that is Edgerunners.
