This show captures the feel, look and tone of the source material almost perfectly. Yes one can argue that earliest parts of the franchise were more depressing and even can be described bleak, but the shift in tone occurred already way back then between Fallout and Fallout 2, shaping the look, tone and feel of potential future franchise. And regarding all that, the show by its form, can go either more satire, or drama, or action, or dystopian, etc., shortly more light or dark and "lite or heavy", from season to season, depending what and how creators have in mind and planned.

Fallout show is absolutely recommendable!
