So.... The 3 armed law enforcers want to execute 3 heroes... and their idea was to take them to a car graveyard full of places to hide, and position themselves 50 feet away from them and start shooting?
I really don't know if writers don't care anymore, or they are stupid or they think we are stupid.....honestly I don't know the answer.

Maggie leaves Hilltop with her son Herschel, Elijah and Marco to a Whisperers' hideout where the survivors of Riverbend are. She leaves the reluctant Herschel there and asks Negan to protect her son. Hornsby divides the troopers in two groups and asks the trooper Romano to check a house, sending Daryl, Aaron and Gabriel with them. Later he sends a message to Romano to execute the trio at a junkyard. However, they note the troopers surrounding them and assume it is an ambush. There is a shootout and Daryl, Aaron and Gabriel kill the troopers. At Hilltop, a group of soldiers of Leah enter the building but activate a booby trap that explodes and kills them all. Maggie, Lydia, Elijah and Marco see that Hornby is not there and when they stand up to leave, Marco is hit by Leah that survived the explosion. Soon Hornsby arrives at Hilltop with his troopers and learns that Maggie did not die. Maggie is hunted down by Leah, while Hornsby and his soldiers take over Alexandria, Hilltop and Oceanside.
"Acts of God" is an episode of "The Walking Dead" with a great action. The swarm of locust is a lost scene and has no explanation; maybe only to give the title of this show. Eugene and his group want to overthrow Pamela Milton, but who should be her successor? Bringing chaos to Commonwealth is not the solution. My vote is eight.

TWD has a problem with writing believable baddies. They start off ok but every time they descend into cartoon baddie territory, all stupid swagger and no smart cunning which would have got the character to their position of power in the first place, ending up with a steady stream of unrewarding and unbelievable events.
Hornsby becomes another in that stream as he starts to yell "do it" at his minions, motivations become cloudy and silly, and we get another disappointment, in a multiple series spiral of disappointments.
Leah ended up going nowhere too. What was with her suddenly having a team of 'disposable red shirt' ninjas at her command? Where did they come from? Were they just some of Hornsby's storm trooper fan club with their white bits taken off?
What was the shoot out with Darryl, Aaron and Gabriel? Aaron took a hit to the shoulder but luckily it was just a through and out flesh would that Gabriel's hankie could fix. All better now.
Confusing cluttered and illogical. Team WD in effect.

It was ok, but I guess I expected more from a part two finale that I have to wait for like another 4 months to watch the rest of.
I read some reviews that said it was rushed and I have to disagree. Rushed would've been dealing with the Commonwealth once and for all and closing that chapter, which didn't happen.
The only thing that got closure in this episode was the Leah arc, and I'm glad it's finally over, and you already know who's gonna finish it before even watching the episode, but it's an apt ending to that nonetheless.
This episode mainly revolves around Hornsby and Maggie and the plot B has way less scenes to be even called the plot B, but it's also there I guess.
This episode suffers from the "no establishing scenes" thing I mentioned in previous episodes' reviews, because one thing I didn't get was why were our badass trio of Daryl, Aaron and Gabriel still with the Storm Troopers, and why were they even clearing houses. I also didn't get what that abandoned big house was and why were everybody going there. It just felt like we missed an episode or something. Or maybe I'm too dense to get it. But if those reviews that said this was rushed meant these plots and scenes without buildup, then they are right.
We also have a nice shootout scene at the begging, and I can kinda cut the Storm Troopers some slack because they do in fact shoot at those characters they're shooting at, but they still had lots of good chances to kill them easily but they still couldn't shoot. The scene ended too soon too and out of nowhere.
Hornsby has gone full insane and I guess we'll have to wait 4 months to see what he's gonna do when we will have forgotten about this part by then.
We also have the plot b that and there's really not much to talk about. The only thing odd with it was the scene with the Mayor's son and Max and I guess he was drunk? But it was weird and pointless nonetheless, I guess they needed to create a cheap tension for that stealing scene.
And I'm not really sure why we didn't even see what the secret group Hornsby was working with that included Eugene's fake ex girlfriend even do and what their purpose is.
Anyway, this episode does move the Commonwealth plot forward, but as a finale to this part I expected it to give closure to more loose ends, not just Leah's.
I just hope they don't rush the Commonwealth's plot like they did with the Reapers and somehow integrate it with whatever they're gonna do with Michonne and maybe Rick in the next part. I guess they kinda did with having Hornsby recruit Leah, but that didn't last long and the Reapers' plot still ended way too soon and suddenly. Watch Agents of S. H. I. E. L. D's season 4 and see how the writers masterfully do three different plots in one season and combine and integrate, and give closure to them beautifully at the end of the season.
I hope it's like that and they don't botch this show's ending, I really hope.

Acts of God showed the first shots fired between the commonwealth and our heroes. We can see the real problem of the commonwealth in its truest form and see the revolt begin.
I am praying these final 8 episodes of the series will not waste time adding any extra religious groups or new girlfriends and they will get straight to the point of action because this episode should've been here a while ago and it being the last of part 2 will not hold me over the next 4-5 months
Also thought things were pretty predictable so when they all happened it was not that shocking to me.
