Very good so far, just about everything you'd expect from a The Boys spinoff, crudeness, humour, and violence and just dumb supe actions/consequences. All in all really enjoyed the first episode, also like how they the whole "them" thing....if it's gonna be forced on us then at least this isn't too jarring or insufferable as other shows.

Too summarize the main point of the first 290 or so characters that was my review I will now use the remaining 310 in that summary because without this summary apparently the first 290 characters was not enough, so in summary oh wait only 20 more characters le.

Pretty good start to the series, bit slow in some parts but NOT BORING.

Has some very interesting characters, like MARIE she has a very compelling and interesting backstory that interests me quite a bit, it's a little sad and very engaging. GOLDEN BOY is also a very interesting character even though he does some crazy stuff at the conclusion to the first episode.

This isn't the boys so don't expect that coming into this after all it is apart of The Boys universe so it is pretty solid. But over all great first episode. Watch it with an open mind and don't expect too much and it's got a good story but doesn't give too much away with what's going to happen next, but definitely worth a watch.

A friend of mine once joked that "The Boys" is so obsessed with blood that it should include a hero who specifically uses blood as a weapon. This was all while "Gen V" was out, so if he had simply gone ahead and actually watched the spinoff to "The Boys," he would have known that the creators had the exact same idea and made it their lead character. And as macabre as that idea sounds, this show doesn't waste any time with showing it off. It's certainly up to a dynamic start for this spinoff and a lot is happening, to its advantage and detriment.

It's only fair to assume that this show is going to maintain that signature tone that "The Boys" is famous for, and this premiere certainly gives the idea that it will. The show quickly taps into that chaotic energy that we expect from the flagship, but adds to it with this new setting with this new idea of young superheroes trying to navigate their abilities and the deadly stakes of the world. And the episode is also going at a steady beat with a great pacing and some very intense action sequences that will easily keep viewers hooked. There is an entire slew of new characters to fall into here, and they manage to really bring life to these additions in a relatable yet chaotic setting. It's taking a unique perspective, and showing superheroes at this young stage will certainly feel like a bit of a break from the cutthroat world of superheroes that we are so used to from "The Boys." Also, Marie Moreau is a pretty fascinating lead character with a lot of nice character moments and an overall advantage of having this great narrative with her journey at Godolkin University. The show also stays in line with not shying away from using dark humor and social commentary. This time around, it effectively uses satire to comment on youth culture and their heavy addiction to social media and the importance of that in this world. If anything, the episode can sometimes feel like it's juggling with a bit more than it can handle.

"God U." is an exciting start to this new chapter of the "Boys" universe and it's exciting to see how the rest of the series will unfold. How it will intersect with the larger world is still to be seen, but in keeping with the tone and style, it already feels like it fits right in.

Plot wise it's a roller coaster of feels, intrigue, teen emotions, dark pasts and secrets.

But it's let down by more of the same, cheap gore, cheap sex stuff, woefull cgi.

Throw in more cliche tropes of teen angst and explotative media empires and moraly bankrupt ceo's/ board of directors.

Most of the cast seem to act well, some might even be doing a better job here than on the boys, feels like it's well directed and clean shots with minimal janky cutaways.

Music and sound fits well, tries to tug at the heart strings.

Don't believe the trailer as the pilot shakes things up.

Bottom line, fans of the boys will love it, casual / curious fans who aren't fully invested will still find things to enjoy.

I'm so glad that there is finally a series out there that shows us young adults in school, with all their terrible problems and the hard choices they have to make. Can you believe that a woman who needs a knife to cut her wrists so that she can use her blood as a knife has to fight to become a A-grade-superhero celebrity? Well, here is her story.

I have no doubt that the creators of the original IP are sitting at home and wonder: Why didn't I think of this? Why did I make the one true success story with superheroes since End Game by doing something different if I could have just used archetypes involved in story lines that feel like meme formats at this point and create something entirely forgettable?

I wonder if someone is going to fall in love?! Or maybe even have to potential boyfriens, like, in a triangle?! And will we ever see anybody doing actual, you know, school stuff, like reading? Can't wait!
