More specifically, there is no doubt that all the episodes combine clever humour, terrific acting and meaningful lines with a simplicity that is not easy to find. Also of particular interest is the accuracy and the way the show itself portrays the majority of Greek families, "stripping" all their positive and negative aspects. Moreover, the way in which the episodes touch on sensitive issues for Greek society and beyond is exemplary. In more detail, Mama's Cake breaks down prejudices in the simplest and most elegant way and makes the viewer reconsider his or her opinion on topical social issues.

In short, Mama's Cake is a series that uses comedy as its "vehicle" and has the potential to help viewers think.
