The Legacy

Directer Rod Smith brings us The Legacy. A very atmospheric scary mystery horror movie with an excellent cast to pull it off. Led by a truly convincing Dawna Lee Heising in one of her best performances as Dr. Epstein. Years ago a serial torturer named Vincent tortured and killed women. But 4 of them survived. Michael Beran plays with perfection his role, the madman bent on torturing women and killing them in a blood soaked ritualistic way.

Dr Epstein invites the 4 surviving girls to come to terms with there nightmare at the scene of the crimes. The original house. A house that occupied years and years of murders of innocent women. 100 to be exact. These girls have since lived a rough life of deceit and not being able to tell reality from visions of madness. Even though the killer was presumed dead his body never was found and closure was not had. The movie gets darker and darker. Your actually pulled into a living nightmare that crosses over to insanity. The movies plays with your emotions and when you think you know what's going on you get pulled into another direction. The movie will have you on the edge of the seat and things won't get resolved or make sense to the end. Or will they? These survivors will have to come to reality and face possible Madness for the rest of there lives possibly with what climaxes.

Rod Smith had a challenge here. To make a basically one location work. So many times these types of setups don't work. It he had 5 talented actress play there roles so shockingly perfect you felt there horror. Lighting, shadows and sound were perfect and all complimented each other. Michael Beran as the serial killer was one creepy villain. The 4 leads were perfectly cast and enjoyed every moment they were in screen equally. Kudos to the casting department. A strong developed story, great direction and great actresses could on,y pull this off. We have everything a horror fans wants here. Blood, some skin and beautiful women doing a great job in there roles So turn down the lights and sit back and get ready to be sacred and entertained at the same time. A truly fun ride to hell and back.

It's amazing and has a great story. It's a bit hard to see with the darker scenes but I definitely jumped several times. You could feel the feeling of fear and sadness coming from the scenes and characters.

I will say that i am not a fan of the genre of horror but it seemed more psychological thriller though it's described as horror on Tubi. It's also a great story for a law and order svu episode and dick wolf needs to get onboard.

The writing is very good and fantastic. I was definitely impressed but the plot lines and development of each character.

The killer is definitely one of the creepiest characters I've ever seen and I think it's going to give me nightmares.

It's a twisty mind flip that keeps you guessing and on the edge of your seat.

I'm quite excited to see more of his work.

The casting is excellent and definitely had me believing the girls were terrified. I don't think I could ever be more terrified for the girls in the film. I cried for them and felt their pain.

I suggested it to several horror movie fans and friends.
