I saw Fisk season 3 highlighted on ITV and thought I'll give season 1 / episode 1 a shot, knowing nothing beyond it bein a sort of workplace comedy. I'm glad I did.

Fisk delivers comedy gold through the most unlikely venue: a probate law office.

Kitty Flanagan's Helen Fisk is a masterclass in deadpan delivery, navigating the mundane bureaucracy of wills and estates with razor-sharp wit that catches you completely off guard.

The show's genius lies in its situational comedy... finding humor in the deeply ordinary and slightly depressing world of legal paperwork and grieving families.

Flanagan doesn't rely on big punchlines or slapstick; instead, she mines comedy from awkward silences, bureaucratic absurdities, and the gap between what people say and what they mean.

The writing is remarkably intelligent, creating genuine laughs from situations that shouldn't be funny but absolutely are. Each character feels authentic rather than cartoonish, grounding the humor in recognizable human behavior.

As a big fan of Kitty Flanagan I was keen to see her new show but was a little worried it might be a stinker . Luckily it was not. A wonderful beginning to what I hope will be an enjoyable Australian Comedy season in the same vein as the "Back in Business" and "Still back in business"
