The story this time around is really engaging since it focuses on the characters and their relationships to one another this time as opposed to the situation, like the previous episode did. And as such, the various set-ups and pay offs are much more satisfying, and even do well in redeeming Stolas in the eyes of the viewer, as he was a rather unlikable character before.
This goes without saying, but the animation is spectacular. The characters are always moving, the delightfully devilish facial expressions are pushed to their absolute limits and the colors are especially well-done with lots of neon colors being used, which is a great change of pace from all the red everywhere else. I love the designs of all the one-off characters, they're all so detailed and expressive. Take Octavia for instance, who as a child wear a pink dress with white stars on it, and then as an angsty teen wears a version of that same dress, only now to compliment her new dour asthetic, it's offset by a black jacket and beanie, of which has a crown symbol on it that matches the crowns worn by her parents, tying the entire design together. I said it before and I'll keep saying it: the show is worth watching just to see all of the great character designs alone.
The humor is absolutely spot on, especially once we get to the main location of the episode - Loo Loo Land - which has all of the great jokes that you would expect them to tell at an amusement park: absurd rides, busted set pieces, ridiculous prices, rigged carnival games, shady legal stuff, creepy mascots, creepier animatronics and an even creepier clown (voiced by Beetlejuice).
The only thing that really bothered me about this episode was the few editing and animation errors I noticed while rewatching it, such as how some shots don't have the music fade in or out correctly which either halts the flow of a scene somewhat or messes up a joke, one part near the beginning where Octavia lets out a groan that is way too loud given the context, and one shot near the end where there was a layering error. But as I said, I only noticed these during rewatch, so if you aren't looking for flaws, then everything looks perfectly fine, and the reason I even rewatched this episode as many times as I did was because I loved it so much. So in a way these errors just prove how great the episode actually is. The first song is beautiful, the second song is hilarious, and this episode is near perfect.
Plot:The pacing's not off and the story structure is pretty good. Only problem is that the side plots are a bit distracting. 9/10
Humor:Loads of good ones(examples:Millie headbutting into Blitz's office,Octavia's interactions with the main cast, the loo loo land mascot being a pervert,Robo Fizz,Blitz burning down loo loo land, stolitz interactions) 10/10
Visuals:Lots of variety and pure eye candy. The neon purples, blues and greens in certain backgrounds deserve a shoutout. 10/10
Music:Loo Loo Land and You will be Okay are amazing songs in their own right and earned spots in my favourite song playlist.
7/10
Voice acting:Brandon Rogers,Richard Horvitz,Vivian Nixon,Erica Lindbeck,Bryce Pinkham,Barrett Wilbert Weed,Alex Brightman and many others did amazing at bringing out the humor. Extra kudos to Bryce Pinkham and Barrett Wilbert Weed for the emotional scene. It was magical....10/10
Theme execution:I feel like the theme here is more or less on family dynamics, specifically the one between Stolas and Octavia. I love this theme this time around. Its not only sweet to see their relationship start to heal(sorta), but also to delve deeper into the characters' complexity and life. 10/10
Overall:9.3/10. This was an amazing episode. It was fun, sweet, sad and hilarious. Its a wild ride that i can't wait to sit on with other episodes!

As I could find no wrong in this episode I'll go straight to the praise
Helluvaboss is a hoot with episode 1 being a surprise ten like Star Wars in 1977 but Loo Loo Land is an Eleven out of Ten!
As Vivziepop you've done and managed to Empire Strikes Back us.
Art, Animation, voice acting (and I mean ACTING!) plus some wonderful music numbers all in just over a quarter of an hour.
Childhood wonder to Edgy teen fustration, a smutty romance teeming with some danger (and a robot clown).
So come along and win a THING!

This episode blew me away! I loved Helluva Boss before, but when this episode started off with that beautiful lullaby that almost made me cry I knew this was going to be something special. The rest of the episode was hilarious and I was laughing and smiling the whole way through. The episode then finishes up with a very emotional (and very real scene, as someone who has had my parents go through a divorce) that absolutely brought me to tears. Such an amazing episode and I can't wait for more!
With stunning animation, stellar voice talent, engaging drama, lovable characters, beautiful songs, and an emotional core that genuinely gets the viewer invested, Loo Loo Land shows that this show has the power to make audiences laugh and cry all in a quick 15 minute episode.
