Loved the first episode of season 2. I have never read the books which makes the story here completely fascinating for me.
I really like the cast. Will miss Joseph as Adar but I'm confident I will get used to the recast.
The making is very beautiful. The atmosphere is on point. You feel the tension and menacing. It's very engaging.
I started this episode wondering what was the connection between Adar and Sauron and we get this covered first part of the episode. I enjoyed to see how the spirit of Sauron survived and embodied Halbrand.
Cannot fault the serie so far and i hope it continues :)

I can understand that people were raging due to many atrocious aspects of the first season, like cringy writing, design of costumes, athmosphere and clunky plot holes and conviniences but although the second season is not free from those so far, I found it quite entertaining, more like Tolkien and not forced meaningfull. Therefore I am really interested how it will develop over time. Having said that praises should be rather calm because there is still a lot I did not find convincing and there is a lot to make up for. I would advice anyone to give it another chance, but do not campare it to the trilogy, because you will only be diappointed by this comparison. The trilogy was extraordinary but this show can be and become good.
Audience want war, brutal fighting scenes and bla bla bla. This is so absurd that some people just without any reason bomb review some seasons. Last season was Okay. Neither good nor bad. I know its highly controversial but showrunner tried their best. Except last 2 epsiodes of S1, season was good. Okay, so S2E1 was great. There are fighting scenes, music is amazing and costume/set designs are all pretty good. Now as show is progressing, we're going to upcoming war. So, obviously there is plenty of need for politics. Yeah, its was quite boaring as in this particular episode, all discussion doesn't bring anything to table. But yeah, its important. I hope all other episodes would be great and watch it by yourself and then judge.
A surprisingly very good start. Was actually extremely interested the whole episode. Last season was slow but understandable for a 5 season shows first season. Started very well here, besides what everyone says about what's true to books what's now. I'm an avid Tolkien book reader & devoted to the films. But this show for me is all about entertainment. We've had the books which is the most entertaining of all then we had the best movies of our generation. Let's not get greedy, let's just try to enjoy more LOTR & this could be a very nice season! Very good scene with the elves putting the 3 rings on & got me excited for the season!
After the conclusion of season two, I approached the first episode of the new season with some skepticism and admittedly low expectations. Unfortunately, my concerns were not unfounded. The episode feels disjointed, with a narrative that skips around too much, making it difficult to follow any cohesive storyline. The acting, disappointingly, shows no signs of improvement, and the show seems to have abandoned any meaningful character development or storytelling depth that once made it engaging.
Given the substantial budget allocated to this series, one would expect a more polished and refined product. As it stands, the show appears to be struggling creatively, leaving much to be desired. I plan to continue watching in the hope that it will improve, but the current trajectory suggests that it might be time for a new team of writers to step in and steer the series back on course.

- TriviaThe opening words of Season 2, "Always after a defeat... the Shadow takes another shape and grows again", are spoken by Gandalf in J.R.R. Tolkien's novel of "The Fellowship of the Ring". For the second season in a row, the first line of the season comes directly from Tolkien's book, in both cases spoken by a different character than in the book.
