Zhishi yici ouran de lüxing

It is full of absurd scenes which don't make sense at all. And it is neither entertaining not thought-provactive...one of the very few films which I really can't watch till the end...

I fell in love from the first frame. This is a stunningly beautiful gem and the fever dreamish narrative is nothing but genius. Leah Dou is simply astonishing and I hope to see more of her.

Beautifully shot, train of thought as well as a train of images. There is a free spiritual meaning here thanks to the absence of a dominant narrative. A quote from Osho came to mind: Life is a mystery to be lived, not a problem to be solved.

A journey that takes the myth of Orpheus as a starting point and that accompanies the protagonist on a pilgrimage that is physical, but also psychological. In her journey she meets different characters who represent a dysfunctional society. The memories and hallucinations seem real, and reality seems like a hallucination. As a viewer, the journey however has not led me anywhere.

Great photography. Surealism and roadmovie with strange encounters. Dont try to understand it to much, but just ride along.
