The plot is terrible. It needs to be sped up to 1.5. Short action sequences, alternating with philosophical narratives that no one wants to know and nonsensical character histories. The characters are so weak. The aliens are insane and irrational, without any survival instincts or intelligence like the original. They become crazy serial killers who are sometimes strong and sometimes weak.
