A revengeful resurrectionist is found out and revealed, as they conjure, scheme and sacrifice to re-open long dead seals, and everything that was wrong then, and is certainly wrong today, takes form of flesh to persecute, if you present in different ways. But Wednesday Adams has a plan and help beyond the grave, to resist the clock reverting back and putting folk in graves, with friends she never thought she had or needed if we're honest, the crimes of Jericho are all solved, just as the lady promised.
A spectacular season finale that has seen some great performances throughout but none quite matching that of Jenna Ortega who was made for the role of Wednesday Adams and carries it off with perfection.

I was quite surprised with how much I enjoyed this series. Jenna Ortega as the lead did a fantastic job portraying this very deadpan character. This was an awesome season finale, nearly every plotline has some sort of payoff here, every character has their moment, and the whole mystery being set up has a dark, fun and satisfying conclusion.
I predicted half of the reveal/twist at around the halfway point of the season, which isn't necessarily a bad thing since any good mystery should be at least slightly predictable. Regardless, many moments in this episode will surprise you and leave you glued to the screen for the entire runtime.
While the show as a whole wasn't perfect, it didn't need to be, and was still very enjoyable. But this finale really surprised me with how well it was done, very epic stuff, which is why I'm giving it a 10/10. Definitely the best of the season, and this show definitely deserves a season 2!

Finally something decent to watch. I had hoped this show would be worth watching and I was pleasantly surprised. Not only is it worth watching, it's actually good.
The acting is solid. Jenna Ortega is excellent as Wednesday and the rest of the cast, with only a couple of exceptions, are good too. The writing is well above average compared to almost every show and movie from the past decade. There's actual character development. And of course the directing is great. Even the woke elements are speckled in naturally instead of being shoved down your throat. Also, it's an actual mystery story instead of a story filled will mystery boxes. I didn't know there were any decent writers left in the entertainment industry.
I hope the show will got what it deserve.

The finale delivers on action, but that's about as ambitious as it gets. After a mid-season lull, Ep 8 ramps up the confrontations and reveals, but there's little here that feels fresh or innovative.
It's a competent, crowd-pleasing wrap-up rather than a memorable crescendo. 7.5/10
Jenna Ortega remains magnetic, carrying Wednesday with her trademark deadpan flair. Pacing is brisk, and the plot ties off the main mysteries, but the visual style and storytelling don't take any bold risks.
It's entertaining enough, but a reminder that while Wednesday is fun and stylish, it's not always groundbreaking.
Waiting to start Season 2, though.

Great ending to a a great first season. Gough and Millar not only retake their throne as kings of serial TV (after a hiatus) but seem to have finally mastered the art of creating a ending that actually leaves viewers with a smile. Ortega's career has moved as far from the movie "X" as the Earth is from the Sun, and she ties Kristin Kreuk for most photogenic visage in the history of TV. Unlike the majority of successful first seasons, the talent behind the camera guarantees that s02 will also be a crowd-pleaser. ((Designated "IMDb Top Reviewer."
