You Are My Spring started off with a bang - it was eerie, dark, interesting, and with just a splash of romance. However with each episode the romance took over that eerie creepy plot line, and they switched from suspenseful to cheesy. Don't get me wrong, I was happy with the main couple, I thought they were super cute and I loved Young Do, he was such a sweet and comforting character. As a couple they were a tad cringe though, it sometimes was a bit too much.
The show pretty much did a complete 180 about halfway through and left me feeling somewhat empty. I was expecting a thriller with a romance and the thriller part really fell through. I liked the plot twists, but they weren't executed with enough punch. This was I think a case of two genres mushed together that should have been separate shows/story lines. I really started to lose interest as the last few episodes aired, and only finished the show to finish it, not because I was engaged anymore. There were still some big questions left unanswered, which perhaps led to that empty feeling once I finished watching. There was also a lot of filler in the second half, focusing mostly on all the friends of the main couple and who they end up with and are dating. I liked the side characters but not enough to care about their love lives.
Overall this was rather disappointing. I really loved the first half of the show, I was fully engaged and really invested in the story. Somewhere along the way the show lost me. I would skip this one.

I'm usually pretty critical about shows but idk what everyone who neg reviewed this show is on about. The murder plot wasn't abandoned and there was nothing awkward about the funny scenes or love scenes. I found them pretty sincere. The only bad part of the show would be Eun-ha the main female character's bff. She was dumb and annoying but other then that the side characters were interesting and necessary to not make the plot line monotonous. Don't listen to the bad reviews they didn't seem to be watching the same show.
I just had to drop my rating down a star because of Ep 15. Why any director thinks it's fun, edgy or wanted that you film people while the camera goes around in a circle with people talking for 5 minutes causing motion sickness is beyond me. I am too nauseous to read the subtitles and will have to turn it off.
Otherwise it was slow, funny, sad, horrific and quite a cute show in a way. Their past lives all melded into one curious story which was interesting but kind of an after thought sideline. One of the friends was so freaking annoying I don't know how he remained a friend at all (the tv producer).
But excuse me while I go chuck.

I personally enjoyed it a lot so far. Excellent cinematography. Looking forward to the upcoming episodes.
I have two major problems with this drama
1: What should have been the main plot ( the murder mystery) was turned into subplot. In some episodes there wasn't even more than a scene or two about it.
2: What in the world did the do to Kim Dong Wook? I mean his dressing, his hair style, everything was so awful. They gave him such an unappealing outlook. One scene when he looked rather good and neat, he was forced to go back to his idiotic buttoned to the top shirt and stupid hairstyle.
