It's summer in Cousins Beach, a family tradition 15-year-old Isabel "Belly" Conklin looks forward to every year. Since she was little, Belly vacations at the beach house of family friend Susannah. Susannah has two sons close in age to Belly-Conrad and Jeremiah. Belly has had a crush on Conrad for as long as she can remember, but she was mostly seen as the immature kid sister. This summer, things are different, and both Fisher brothers see Belly in a new light. At a bonfire party, Belly has her first kiss, but not with Conrad.
