With this episode going deeper into some backstories from Butcher and Noir, there is more character development in regard of p.e. Kimiko and Frenchie, MM, Starlight, Soldier Boy.
Homelander is a great character and a joy to watch. Soldier Boy is getting richer in characterization, but remains an uncontrolled force of nature like Homelander.
It's not the action that makes this show so great, it's the characters, their troubles with themselves and their conflicts, not only on the outside, but also on the inside.
Intense, gripping, dark, hilarious and excellent storytelling.
Highly recommended.

Great episode after the fantastic previous episode, this episode however is more focus about the plot than the action but it's an excelent slow burner episode to get to the climax which i hope episode 8 to be. Just a little complaint to a reviewer here who claimed this episode in better than Herogasm, you are just delusional man, Herogasm episode is the benchmark episode for all superheroes tv shows period.
This episode was full of emotions with MM with his kid and Butcher seeing himself as a kid and all the mistakes he's made. I was hoping this would change Butcher for the better but then there's his lie to hughie. Antony Starr continues to be the best thing in television with another outstanding performance. We even got to find out more about noir!! The tension and emotion throughout this episode was great. And how about that twist ending? Very interested to see how this ends next week!
By far and away one of the best additions to any show mid-series. His addition adds so many nuanced elements, and makes the show just work and fire on all cylinders. It's no coincidence universally the best episodes have happened after Soldier Boy comes into his own.
I get this feeling his appearance is supposed to be short lived. But I know I'm not alone in that he's a fan favorite and I hope they keep him around and let him have some kind of character growth. I don't know how they'll do it, but I hope they find a way. I like being genuinely surprised when I watch a t.v. Show, because too often I see what's coming. So keep it up guys!

This is much calmer episode than the previous ones, yet it fits perfetly to the whole picture.
Both Antony Starr and Jensen Ackles deliver an amazing performance to the degree that you can't not like the characters. In some way they are absolutely relatable.
It's absolutely different than the comics, but it works perfectly well on its own.
While shortcomings.of both Homelander and Soldier Boy are widely documented in the show, one can't overlook the world from their own perspective. Both were bred to be heroes, supreme beings. Both had stepped up to the role. Neither one can have morals like Superman or Captain America.
Despite the fact that they are basically force more powerful than Nuclear weapon, They never do thinngs for the sake of evil or for the sake of power, unlike most of evil characters in literature. Yes, they are spoiled, entitled, immoral in some ways, yet still their reasons for doing so is love and popularity byu their surronding. Neither want to strike fear into everyone around. Also it should be mentioned, that Soldier Boy is honest in his wishes and desires. I'm really starting to warm up to the character, who is unlike someone like Hewey, actually knows what he wants and who he is.
Another episode at the very top. Keep it up.

¿Sabías que…?
- TriviaSoldier Boy performing Roaring Lion's "From a Logical Point of View" was inspired by Robert Mitchum's 1957 album "Calypso - Is Like So". Showrunner Eric Kripke has the album cover framed on his office wall.
- ErroresSoldier Boy's shield is supposed to be extremely heavy, so much so that Hughie couldn't even make it move an inch. However, when Soldier Boy picks it up out of Butcher's car the rear of the car doesn't rise up from the the weight being removed.
- Citas
Queen Maeve: This is still a top 3 day in my life. Because today is the day I saw you scared.
- Créditos curiososThere is a curtain call at the end of the closing credits: Buster Beaver and his friends come out on stage to take a bow.
- Versiones alternativasIn India, the scene of Homelander milking a cow was removed from streaming. Instead, there is an additional scene of Homelander picking up a metal bucket and then immediately the scene cuts to Homelander carrying out the bucket out of the cow pen. The original scene would possibly have been offending to cow-worshipping Hindus, hence the alternate version / cut.
