Please watch yhe movie till end, the movie is fantastic

Throughout the movie I thought omg this is going too be a stupid ghost movie, that defies logic. But boy was I wrong, it turned out to be a grwt storyline. Everything made sense in the end. Fully approved 👌🏼 the ending. Justice served. Will highly recommend the movie who understands trauma and how victims behave. The movie makes you Second and third guess you. But you will be in shock in the end. Bharath and Vani bhoj did a good job. As usual Ravi kumar gave a mature and sincere acting. I would say everyone should watch it. One must always be careful of whom they let into their lives and be careful.

    Amateurish filmmaking

Be it story, characters, dialogues, performances everything is underwhelming in this film.

Happy to see Bharath is consistently acting in more films these days but these poor scripts can be avoided.

The film lacks logic and most importantly continuity.

Bharath constantly gets out of the car to talk in the phone and the reason the makers say is poor reception in the wild. At least he should talk some sense on the phone but whatever he is taking to the other side are mere filler dialogues. Vani Bhojan's acting was just pathetic. She is a zero in acting. For all the emotion scenes one could not find a single drop of tear in her eyes but we should believe that she is frightened. Those scenes were just laughable.

As an audience i got disoriented very often due to continuity errors in lighting. The director had solely relied on cheap thrills and jump scares. Nothing worked out even a bit.

Overall a pathetic film that doesn't deserve our time.

    Good

"Miral," the 2022 Tamil-language slasher film directed by M. Sakthivel, emerged as a notable attempt in the burgeoning South Indian thriller landscape, albeit one that garnered a largely mixed critical reception. The film sought to weave a narrative that transitioned from a psychological thriller to a supernatural horror, ultimately culminating in a revenge drama, a blend of genres that proved to be both its ambition and its Achilles' heel.

At its core, "Miral" revolved around the couple Hari (Bharath) and Rama (Vani Bhojan) and their young son, whose lives are disrupted by a series of unsettling events, particularly Rama's recurring nightmares of a masked assailant. Seeking solace and a remedy for their misfortunes, they journey to Rama's ancestral village for a ritual, only to find themselves ensnared in a real-life nightmare that eerily mirrors Rama's visions.

The film's initial strength lay in its ability to establish a sense of unease and suspense. Director Sakthivel employed effective sound design and cinematography to build a tense atmosphere, particularly in the isolated setting of the village and the car scenes. Suresh Bala's camera work, with its wide aerial shots and close-ups of the characters' fear, contributed significantly to the intended horror. Bharath and Vani Bhojan delivered commendable performances, managing to convey the fear and trauma experienced by their characters, which critics often cited as a saving grace amidst the film's shortcomings. K. S. Ravikumar, in a supporting role, also received praise for his presence.

However, the critical reception consistently highlighted "Miral's" struggles with its screenplay and narrative coherence. Many reviewers pointed out that the film's shift in genres, while ambitious, felt disjointed and underdeveloped. The initial psychological thriller elements often gave way to a reliance on jump scares, which, though effective in parts, failed to sustain genuine fear. The film's pacing was also a recurring point of criticism, with some suggesting that scenes were unnecessarily stretched, leading to a tedious watch.

The biggest point of contention for "Miral" was undoubtedly its climax and the much-anticipated "twist." While some found the reveal impactful and unpredictable, a significant portion of critics felt it was forced, clichéd, and ultimately undermined the suspense built throughout the film. The abrupt shift in perspective and the attempt to introduce a social message in the finale were seen by many as a misstep that detracted from the slasher genre's inherent strengths. The film's logic in certain chase sequences and the justification for putting innocent characters in danger were also questioned.

Despite these narrative flaws, "Miral" did demonstrate some technical prowess. Beyond the cinematography, Prasad S. N.'s background score was noted for its attempt to enhance the thriller elements. The film's relatively short runtime (under two hours) was appreciated by some, as it prevented the narrative from becoming overly drawn out, despite the pacing issues within scenes.

In conclusion, "Miral" in 2022 was an interesting, albeit imperfect, addition to the Tamil thriller genre. It showcased a willingness to experiment with genre blending and featured solid performances from its lead actors. However, its ambitions were ultimately hampered by a meandering screenplay, an over-reliance on predictable jump scares, and a divisive climax that diluted its overall impact. While it offered moments of genuine suspense, "Miral" ultimately fell short of fully realizing its potential, leaving audiences with a mixed bag of thrills and narrative inconsistencies.

    Thrilling roller coaster

Actually, I just started watching this movie like any other Tamil usual horror film. But, it was absolutely fantastic and satisfied. This movie will definitely keep you on the edge of your seat to see what's going to happen next and will keep you scared till the end. Bharath and Vani Bhojan performed well and perfectly suited for this role. The director chose the ideal location for this type of thriller story. Background music was simply superb. There is a twist in the climax, it is really unpredictable. Don't read the negative comments. This movie will undoubtedly satisfy you. Overall, a fantastic movie with thrilling roller-coaster ride .
