I watched it for the first time dubbed in English, the second time in its original language and it is a difference from heaven to earth. The original voices are full of emotions, they are part of their performance and this series is all about feelings. All three actresses were perfectly cast, they are extremely talented and their chemistry is great. Tuba Buyukustun is one of the most beautiful and best actresses in the world. She performs naturally and passionately and looks like a Goddess. The main theme of this series is how the acts of our ancestors affect people, which are somehow stored in the memory of our body, and how to accept them in order to understand what happens to us in our lives and move forward.
The three main stars bring some impressive acting chops to this series, but for me the storyline that was the big draw was the one between...Ada, Toprak and Selim. Although the slow burn between Sevgi and Fikret is the storyline I was really rooting for.
At the heart of this story is a very close friendship between three friends...successful surgeon Ada, lawyer Sevgi and social media influencer/mom Leyla. The story begins with Sevgi's cancer treatment no longer working. She ropes her friends into exploring a more spiritual form of healing in Ayvalik with a healer who delves into your family's past wounds. Eventually he spiritually touches all three women and exposes wounds from their pasts which is affecting their lives in the present.
The gorgeous setting in Ayvalik, Turkey is just one of the many reasons to watch this series that (thus-far) has only eight episodes. Which leads me to share that I wasn't thrilled with where the series ends. It is set up to go on to a second season...which I hope it does, but if this is the end I am sad because it ends on a pretty sad note for all three women.

I just finished the first season, skipping a bit. I thought it was a great concept, it really felt like therapy watching it. Very emotional and deeper than expected.
The lead actress is gorgeous and I loved her styling, clothes, hair, makeup etc. In general I thought the whole series was very well styled, the whole aesthetic of the seaside village etc. The music was good too.
Not sure I'll keep watching for the second season but I might. I thought it finished quite well on the first season and it was too much for me emotionally to go on immediately after.
I wasn't expecting any Greek references but there were quite a few so that was interesting too. Overall I enjoyed it and consider it a superior production so I'm glad it was my first Turkish series.

I love everything about this series! The story is beautiful and new, I can say it is best Netflix series from Turkey. Cast performances is incredible especially from Tuba, Seda and Serkan also directing, music is so excellent. Bravo Nuran for the beautiful story.
