    This is only the beginning.

This episode was brilliant. It was everything it had to be. So much to applaud. This show doesn't feel real. It doesn't seem like something that should exist right now. More like 2012. That's the only way to explain the dependability.

Dylan is the standout here, for me. Everything he does in this episode is so impactful. I'm in love with it. John Turturro is still the greatest to do it, but each of his scene partners hold their own throughout a runtime that is gorgeously cut.

We are witnessing a meteoric rise. The start of something people won't forget. A generational run.

    Perfection. No notes.

    Great start!

Brilliant start to season 2 after 3 years of waiting. I usually don't write reviews but seeing how some people were calling this episode disappointing because they wanted more excitement or instant reveals of what is going made me want to write this. It is the writers' intention to keep us in the dark, everything Milkshake told Mark is most likely a lie and we (the viewers) will be kept in the dark the same as the innies, this show is made to make us feel like an innie and see how corporations lie and keep us in the dark. Everything will be revealed in due time, like in the first season, where they usually show one perspective, then another. Great new casting, new MCR woman made me h8 her and the new child is very creepy, lots of mystery was setup, can't wait for the next episode. You probably won't like it if you're looking for instant gratification or 'excitement', whatever that means, maybe a waffle party? Idk.

Review of the first episode of season 2

The last episode of season 1 was extremely well made and intense. Rounding up the first season of Severance perfectly.

Because of this, there were expectations i suppose to kind of follow that rythm in season 2.

Picking up where it let off since it's a continous story.

Sadly this episode did not feel like it continued from season 1. It feels like a different show with similar atmosphere.

Confusing viewers with different unsatisfactory explanations. Totally dropping the intensity that season 1 beautifully choreographed.

Confusing viewers was obviously made purposefully, however, i feel like they missed the mark. The decisions made on how season 2 would continue, was a bit off. Leaving the viewer a bit empty, without an impact like season 1 had on you.

Perhaps season 2 will get better, and meet the amazing quality and storyline of season 1. Who knows.....

This is just a review, everybodys opinions will be different. Note: No matter how season 2 goes, season 1 is still a masterpiece.

    Understand the show

I hope my review is long enough to make it... It really is simple. Everything in this show means something and every second is thought out. If you don't understand that, after the first season, I can't help you. To say this first episode of the second season is a throw away or irrelevant just proves you do not understand the vision of the writers and directors. They clearly know what they want to do and where they are going. The details that are carefully placed prove this fact. If, at the end of the second season you have issues, feel free to air them. However, to say you are disappointed because all of your questions were not answered from the first season in the first episode of the second season is absolutely foolish.

    Severance is Back!

Severance has to be one of my favorite shows, and I was so sad that the writer strike pushed the second season back. The end of season 1 has to be one of the best TV episodes ever. So I was expecting a lot, to say the least, and I wasn't disappointed. The show picks up where season 1 ended, at least from the perspectives of our Inies. Five months have passed in the real world, but the Inies and we, as the viewers, don't know what has happened in the real world. Mark S. Is confused and in search of his team. The entire cast is perfect, and they pick up where they left off without missing a beat. The show is really good at presenting things ominously and creepily. I'm really interested in seeing what is going on with Helly after what she was like in the real world. I still have a lot of questions, especially about the outside world, but I have faith that they will explain them. I'm excited to see what happens next.

When Milchick walks Mark into his office, a light wrapped in plastic can be seen in the corner of the room by the window. The scene then cuts to Milchick placing a box down, and when it cuts back, the light is no longer there. However, when the scene cuts back to Mark a second time, the light has reappeared.
