Gondola

This is a highly original idea for a movie. Everything basically revolves around two young women who are gondola operators across a valley. There is no real dialogue on this movie - in a way this enhances the story. No dialogue is a brace choice and would fail in many movies, but here I think it works very well.

It's basically a love story at it's core, but the beautifull scenary, the characters and the lack of dialogue makes this a movie you remember.

Although I don't know any of the actors, and they are not your normal hollywood actors, I think they did a very good job and made the story convincing.

Gondola is a really well-made movie that stayed with me. The story is pretty simple on the surface. It's about a gondola operator in a remote mountain town, but there's a lot of emotional depth and symbolism that makes it feel bigger. The film has this quiet, reflective vibe, with long shots of the mountains and the town that really pull you into the setting. It almost feels like the environment is its own character.

The acting is really subtle but powerful, especially the lead. She doesn't say much actually she doesn't say anything, but you can feel everything through his expressions and the way he moves. The pacing is definitely slow, but it fits the story and lets the themes sink in. I liked how it used little visual details to explore things like loneliness and time passing.

A few parts did feel a bit too slow, and some side stories didn't really go anywhere, but overall it's a beautiful movie. If you're into quiet, thoughtful films that focus on mood and atmosphere, Gondola is worth checking out.

Unfortunately, I really sorry to write a negative review on this short film but I think that a romantic love story cannot exist without a kiss and if the actresses did not want to kiss because perhaps they are heterosexual then change the actresses you find gay or heterosexual actresses willing to at least give up a kiss because so you just made me see me an unlikely platonic love you ruined all that of this film just for this film. Small kiss that would not have hurt anyone this is an incomplete and not very professional job by the actors who perhaps were ashamed to kiss because heterosexuals don't know, but still there is no good love film without a kiss has never existed! Great missed opportunity.
