The series gets off to a rocking start, introducing nearly all new characters (apart from Jennifer Coolidge and her now husband Jon Gries). The tension is palpable. I felt genuinely uncomfortable watching the first episode. The undercurrent of anger, pettiness, foreshadowing, and idiocy. Jennifer Coolidge is as ridiculous as in Series 1, or perhaps more so. Apparently oblivious to her husbands dislike of her, he appears to really despise her.
The setting in Italy is beautiful and the introduction of local language into the dialogues works very well. The Italian character seem brilliant and very well cast. As are the rest. I am very much looking forward to it and I hope that the ending will be better than season 1.

Just like the first season this 1st episode of the second season is super super funny and cringy.
Very witty writing and dialogues; I find the slow burning low profile humour is absolutely amazing.
Loving the whole Italian and Sicilian atmosphere and vibe it's a bit exotic but not too much neither.

We can argubly say that this season wasn't nessecery? Of course but whatsoever it's marvelous atmosphere, cringe humor and lots of beginnings to the new plots like for example relation this young pair of people, hooker's and going on further. The big part of the show takes in Italy which can say to us that this is a deep drama of various men and women.
The riches ones and others are starting to sticking eachother but that doesn't mean there fighting of something like that. Aubrey Plaza is stealing this show and play fabulous role. Her performance shines. Nicely done 1 episode.
Waiting with excitement for the next one.

Why the only boring and annoying character from season 1 is in season 2??! I am talking about Tanya. I could not stand her character in season one and hoped to never see her again(nothing personal for the actress, only her role). It is hard to watch her, she is slow, dull, uninteresting, not funny, always seems lost and confused. They killed the one only interesting character in season one...
Hopefully the Italian hotel manager will be interesting enough to watch.
Season one actually was not interesting either, but I dont know why I watched it. And I dont know why I am watching season two 😀..

When I heard they were making a second season of The White Lotus, I wasn't sure there would be a need for it, as season one told a complete story. However, will season started strong, and I am interested in seeing where it goes. This time the show follows a group at a White Lotus Italy where people died, similar to season 1's setup. I'm still feeling out the characters as this is one of those shows you have to watch a couple of episodes to get a feel of the characters. With that said, so far, Aubrey Plaza has stolen the show. She has really turned into a great actor in the past few years, and I hope she has a more significant part moving forward.
