I watched all six episodes in one sitting. The story moved along at a pace that sparked my interest. I was so disappointed that it stopped where it did in episode ode six. I am so looking forward to the next episodes. I will be disappointed if Netflix does not film them and of course will try to find the series somewhere else.
I was surprised by how much I like this show, I've thought of it many times since watching it several months ago. I integrates many elements in a sort of historic fantasy setting. There is love, joy, beautiful colorful sets, historic elements, friendship, family, secrets, magic. I really like the way it unfolds. Lots of layers, fun to watch, some under shadows but not overwhelmingly dark.
I recommend it and can't wait for season 2. I really hope Netflix renews the series for at least one more season, 2 more seasons would be great.
Meanwhile I'll have to settle for watching the series again, which will be fun too.

I enjoyed this series. It's a twist on Shakespeare's twins separated at birth. In Comedy of Errors, there are two sets of identical twins who are separated at birth but later are reunited after a series of comic escapades. In Twelfth Night, two twins (one female, one male) are separated in a shipwreck but later reunited, again after a series of events (serious, in this case).
In this story, though, there are two twins who were separated when they were one and a half through an apparent kidnapping. And, yes, they are reunited as adults. But, the twist is that both twins, upon reconnecting, explore the motives of the parents that led to the separation. The story has a lot of twists and turns, which makes it interesting to watch (though, like many series that are out these days, there are too many sub-plots that really have nothing to do with the main story, I wish writers would be more concise and stick to one storyline with a few sidetracks. But, then again, there would be fewer episodes).
The one problem I had with the series was the ending which left me asking "What happened?", in addition to most of the sub-plots. Obviously, they are banking on having a second series. But, if Netflix decides not to fund a second series, this one just ends in the middle of a plot. Again, I wish writers would create a temporary closure to the main story (viewers want complete, if not, happy endings). Then, they can pick up another strand in a future series.
But, overall, if you enjoy watching Italian films, especially from their heyday in the 1950s and 1960s, you will enjoy Luna Park.

The story, set in the 1960s, impresses with its retro look. The costumes, items and the whole scenery reflect the epoch well. The actors played their roles very well. I'm waiting for the 2nd season.
I see many people comment that they watched the show in dubbed English. On Netflix, you can hear the original voices and just add subtitles. Luna park is entertaining, but it lacks humour. But the acting is convincing and the plot as well. The worst that Netflix can do is to not officially renew the show. There is to much uncertainty after watching season 1 and I do not like to decide myself how it ends. So I will be wating for season 2.
