Edsta came up with the main concept for Take the Vax while riding the train in Manhattan on December 14th, 2020. The exact same day that Sandra Lindsay, a registered nurse, received the very first COVID-19 vaccine in New York City and in the United States. The train ride inspired Edsta to come up with a short film concept involving a menacing figure trying to constantly obstruct the paths of a vaccine skeptic.
