Documentaries are usually boring and hard to watch till the end, but seven lost exceeds the expectation. The story follows an American troop stranded in the Italian wilderness, struggling to find their way back to safety during World War 2. The hard life of soldiers is depicted in a way that you feel connected to them as if they are your family members. The acting and direction is so perfectly done that it would show you the real picture of the life and struggles soldiers as they try to find their way back to America from Italy.
One thing that I liked was that the movie is shot by hand in a way that gives a real-life experience which makes you feel like you're experiencing it all first-hand. This gives the viewers a better understanding of the heart wrenching War.
The actors gave such a stellar performance, especially Karl J. Arana who was very convincing in the role of a captain. As a whole the entire cast gave their blood and sweat which was quite visible from their terrific performance.
The movie soars into much depth about the horrific reality of the war that the viewers feel emphatically driven towards the people who suffered in the war. All credit goes to the direction but to the cast and crew as well, they showed the viewers a side of the war that was never seen before.
All in all, seven lost is a movie that will not only you hooked to it through 80 minutes onto your seats but also gives a feeling of sympathy towards the heroes of World War 2 or any other war that is going on in the world.

A good Indie Film that delivers on a lot of close up war fair and plenty of action. I enjoyed the story it takes you on, along with the location, wardrobe, props, sets and the TANK!! It's always great to see Indie films and the time/passion it takes to bring a film to life with small budgets. It is no easy task but this cast/crew pulled it off and told a story that put the viewers right in the action and drama. The best part for me is the effort to go as real as possible and not hold back on how ruthless war can be and how you can discard a life so effortlessly. Somthing people of war no nothing about this film was able to show.
Congratulations to the cast/crew for bringing the story to life.

Must watch with the right attitude. This is a leader in the unintentionally funny category. Move over 'The Room' and 'Plan 9 from Outer Space'. Crack open a bottle, open a bag of chips and MST3K this bomb.
It's obvious that no one involved in this film ever served in the military, ever fired a gun, ever read a book about war or ever saw a war movie. Or, maybe, any movie.
We expected a good war flick given all the 10 star rating bombs in here (the director has a lot of friends) and it wouldn't have been so bad if we hadn't paid for it. But down to 1-star for the blatant dishonesty.
Still, if you need a laugh a minute, check this one out.

There are Thousands of great World War movies available... PASS on this one.
Really BAD acting, awful/repetitive dialog, slow moving, American soldiers depicted as clueless and incompetent, while Italian soldiers painted as monsters. I believe this is totally inaccurate.
There is No time reference as to the war, and no sense as to where in Italy this fighting is taking place, no town names, just that they have to head North. The compass scene is hard to take.
Unrealistic fighting scenes. The original Italian dialog is not even close to the Italian language. Who wrote this screenplay??? I cannot believe I sat through the whole movie.
The ONLY Positive is that it's very short.

This independent movie based on World War II is one of the most interesting and intelligent movies I've seen this year. There are many movies that chronicle the journey of a soldier in a war, but this particular film goes much further than any other. The writing is incredibly brilliant and constantly makes you feel sympathy for each of the characters, who are surprisingly interesting. The performances are wonderful, especially Michael Placencia who plays the main Sargeant character.
The direction of the "Seven Lost" makes you feel as if you are with them, allowing you to be part of the journey in the entirety of the film. Few filmmakers can direct a war movie as good as this one.
From a technical perspective, "Seven Lost" is an absolute achievement in cinema. It is a visually beautiful film with stunning cinematography. The sound effects and mixing are possibly the best I've ever heard in a movie! The shots are loud, scary and realistic.
Considering this is an indie movie, I was absolutely blown away by the use of CGI as it looks incredibly real. The wardrobe and makeup department should also be celebrated as they did an amazing job.
I love when filmmakers have insight when making a war movie. You can see the amount of research that went into portraying the soldiers, their struggles, and their emotions. It seems that each of the characters has a purpose and a life behind the war, which makes you want to see more of them.
Usually, if a WWII movie is boring, it takes my attention away completely, but this movie had me hooked from start to finish, because it's not only historically accurate, it's also incredibly entertaining. It's hard to describe this movie in words, but I urge you to watch it right away, you won't regret it.
