Ppang-gwa bokgwon

It's a strong come back for a series, considering the tension put on by the fans. The expectations for the 2nd season were through the roof.

So:

• vibe is there (bit different, but not disappointing)
• tension is there (to some point)
• acting is good
• music *chef's kiss*.

• red head is on fleak.

• I saw the correct reenactment of Russian Roulette (WOW).

• One more thing: the title of an episode is a continuation of an idea underlying the first season: commentary on socio-economical status in Korea (and in general). I hope the directors will not go that line.

Conclusion: I had fun, will watch next :)

I'll admit, this episode wasn't what I was expecting - it's even better. Basically it's exactly what I was hoping for.

What Squid Game Season 1 did really well was its characters, and it had a number of cliffhangers that made me really curious to see where the show was going to go next.

I was worried that the show would run through some hoops in order to get. Gi-Hun back into the games, but surprisingly, this episode seems to pick up where the show left off instead.

Without going into spoilers, what I will say is that the show does a great job of carrying on the narrative threads dangled from the end of Season 1, and focuses on Gi-Hun's attempts to find the Recruiter of the games. What follows is some of the most awesome and intense sequences the show has done full stop. You'll be watching through your fingers at certain points.

The only thing that concerns me is that the season at 7 episodes seems a little short, particularly considering how this season has started off - you'll understand what I mean if you've watched this episode. What I will say is that it seems to be delivering on the promises of the longer story arcs started in Season 1, and if the rest of the Season hits with the same level of quality as this one does, Season 2 is going to blow Season 1 out of the water.

A great start to the new season. Seems like it's setting us up for a wild ride.

Slow start, a good one i would say but definitely could have been way better. The ending is peak, i would be lying if i said i did not wish for more screen time for this one character, but it had to be done.

The cinematography is great, had lots of themes from korean movies or movies that took place on korea, which is dope!

The question is what now? The episode kinda left us on a cliff hanger on what will happen now that the main character kinda achieved his goal that he was daydreaming about for the last three years, so i would assume he is now going for the big dogs! But will this season be as good as the first one? I truly believe so!

After really enjoying the first season of Squid Game I was very worried there would be a dip in quality going into season two. Now, I've only watched this episode so I can't speak for the rest of the season, but this episode? Damn... after the initial scene which picks up directly where we left off, we get a three year time jump to catch us up to present day and the tone takes a slight shift back into the slightly lighter tone that was present in the opening episode of the series. Don't let this fool you. This episode takes a turn and it's harsh. Brilliant, but harsh. I'm not going to dive into spoilers as I think these early episodes should always be left as at least a bit of a surprise but in summary? Squid Game is back.

This show is great and yet very disturbing so kicking off a premiere for a new season is very hard. It had the right amount of suspense in it but I would have liked to see more of the people chosen to play and what they were thinking. I liked how they tried to catch him but in the end it just wasn't enough for me. This isn't the worst episode but definitely not the best. I understand that it's only the first episode so I'm hoping for some better ones to come. I also wished they would have shown them getting set up for the games and also the training for the guards but it had the a good amount of suspense so in my opinion in the end it was worth it and I'm very excited for the new season.
