I liked the episode, I thought it was well set up, my only disappointment is Seong Gi-hun didn't mention his daughter once and originally, throughout most of season 1, that is why you was rooting for him to survive, he seems to have completely disregarded her existence, maybe to keep covert I don't know.

I liked the interaction with the salesman, you get abit more of an insight to who he is, but I feel he could have been used more, that said, I'm only onto episode 2, but definitely enjoying it as much as the last season although it's very different at the moment.

I absolutely loved the premiere, it had almost a Fincher-like vibe where it felt very unsettling and a lot more intense than season 1.

I found myself glued to the screen and had this unsettled feeling the whole time, knowing what happened in season 1 really changes the whole way you view these characters and the world.

I was looking forward to the games but I throughly enjoyed following these characters on the outside, the two gangsters brought their A game in terms of acting and that one scene (you'll know which one) had my heart racing. The character writing is top tier.

I had some worries since the second seasons of such acclaimed shows rarely keep the same quality but after finishing this premiere all my worries are gone.

They spent these years wisely and tried to make the story interesting without being an exact repeat of season 1.

I would say this episode might even surpass most of season 1s episode personally, looking forward to the rest.

After a long three year wait, many would assume the hype for Squid Game has died down. This may be true, in which case the expectations for how the show would follow up its wildly successful first season are lower than they should be. But no matter your expectations, I believe 2x01 will blow them away. This is a phenomenal premiere that effortlessly immerses us back into the world of Squid Game. It reintroduces us to our main characters we will continue to follow the stories of and provides many intense, insane moments throughout.

Season 2 looks extremely promising so far and with the show already renewed for Season 3, I'm intrigued as to how the story will play out through these 7 episodes.

It had a slow start, but at a certain point, the narrative pace picks up, the pieces start falling into place, and the adrenaline undoubtedly reaches its peak by the end of the episode-which is precisely what's most characteristic of this series.

Additionally, I have to say that, up until now, I've cared very little about the police officer's storyline. However, the possibility of him working together with Seong Gi-hun suddenly makes his narrative arc interesting.

By the way, I thoroughly enjoyed seeing Gong Yoo again, especially because he becomes a central character in this episode, and his performance is flawless throughout. He's genuinely terrifying.

In summary, I thought the second season would be a complete disappointment, but this first episode has shown me that this season has potential, even if it follows a different pattern than the first.

I'll admit, this episode wasn't what I was expecting - it's even better. Basically it's exactly what I was hoping for.

What Squid Game Season 1 did really well was its characters, and it had a number of cliffhangers that made me really curious to see where the show was going to go next.

I was worried that the show would run through some hoops in order to get. Gi-Hun back into the games, but surprisingly, this episode seems to pick up where the show left off instead.

Without going into spoilers, what I will say is that the show does a great job of carrying on the narrative threads dangled from the end of Season 1, and focuses on Gi-Hun's attempts to find the Recruiter of the games. What follows is some of the most awesome and intense sequences the show has done full stop. You'll be watching through your fingers at certain points.

The only thing that concerns me is that the season at 7 episodes seems a little short, particularly considering how this season has started off - you'll understand what I mean if you've watched this episode. What I will say is that it seems to be delivering on the promises of the longer story arcs started in Season 1, and if the rest of the Season hits with the same level of quality as this one does, Season 2 is going to blow Season 1 out of the water.

A great start to the new season. Seems like it's setting us up for a wild ride.
