Im so glad this season started off with a bang. S1 was (alongside AOT S3 and Breaking Bad S5), my favourite ever season of a show. I was worried this season wouldnt be able to capture that same special feeling.
The music montage after the intro was beautiful, followed by really good character interactions between cait vi and cait jayce. They easily could have made this an aftermath episode but it established a lot action and storywise, not just focusing on the explosion itself but even furthering viktors storyline and the upcoming war in an efficient way
The entire episode does not let up on the dark and atmospheric tension. The action sequence close to the end was especially exhilarating. Cait and Vi also have some amazing character development in different ways by the end of the episode.
A big disappointment was how they handled the aftermath of jinxs explosion. I wished they had shown us the destruction and characters pov in real time, but it cut to the aftermath and the destruction was much less than expected. There is potentially an explanation for this but as it stands this felt really underplayed.
Overall this was definitely better than episodes 1-5 of arcane bar episode 3 of course. The pacing was on point and the cinematic feel was really well done. If they keep this momentum and dont jump the shark story wise in the remaining episodes Arcane will secure its legacy as one of the greatest shows ever made.

Arcane Season 2 opens with a stunning return to form, delivering a first episode that builds on the emotional and narrative weight of Season 1 while pushing the story and characters into intriguing new territory. From the outset, the animation quality once again stands out as exceptional, with every scene bursting with a painterly richness that makes Piltover and Zaun feel as immersive and vibrant as ever. Riot Games and Fortiche Production clearly doubled down on visual fidelity, with character designs and backgrounds that feel even more intricate and refined.
Episode 1 carefully balances familiar faces with new dynamics, and one of its strengths lies in how it reintroduces characters like Vi, Jinx, and Caitlyn. Their relationships, complicated by past events, continue to evolve in complex and unpredictable ways, ensuring that the emotional depth is every bit as gripping as the show's high-stakes action scenes. We also get glimpses of new political conflicts within Piltover's upper echelons and the emerging chaos within Zaun, both of which set the stage for an even darker and more intricate storyline.
The pacing is solid, blending world-building with moments of suspense and introspection that capture the tension between these two clashing cities. The episode also teases some promising new plot threads and characters, hinting at potential alliances and rivalries that could alter the balance of power between Piltover and Zaun in unexpected ways.
Overall, the first episode of Arcane Season 2 is a masterful blend of breathtaking visuals, nuanced storytelling, and complex character work. It's a promising start that not only honors the legacy of Season 1 but sets up what promises to be an intense and emotional journey. Fans of the series and newcomers alike are bound to be drawn into the drama, with plenty to anticipate for the episodes ahead.

Arcane Season 2 manages to live up to the high expectations set by the first season. The animation remains top-notch, with scenes that are visually stunning and packed with detail. It doesn't rely on flashy effects alone-there's real emotional weight behind the characters' struggles and relationships. The pacing is well-balanced, allowing the story to develop naturally while keeping you engaged throughout. It feels like a thoughtful continuation rather than just a cash grab sequel. If you're into great storytelling combined with breathtaking visuals, this start of season is definitely worth your time. Loved it!
Heavy is the Crown!
After three years of waiting Arcane is finally back on our screens and it lost nothing of its glory. The story continues right after the cliffhanger at the end of season 1, that showed Jinx blowing up the council.
In the aftermath of that event, the council members have to regroup. Especially Caitleen has to process her mother's death. But the threat isn't over as their enemies are attacking the memorial event and thereby showing no mercy.
Caitleen makes the decision to fight and with her, Jinx's sister. It is a burden to lead the council against their enemies. Heavy is the crown indeed, as Emily Armstrong sings. The comeback of Linkin Park is connected to the comeback of Arcane.
It is not too early to say, that Netflix and Riot Games hit another homerun with season 2.

It's unbelievable how the team behind this series managed to create something so beautiful, even more stunning than the first season. Visually speaking it is a gem of animation, with breathtaking backgrounds and outstanding animation. The characters lead the way, already established in season 1 here they shine as never before. The story holds your breath with a relentless pace that leaves no rest. As if that were not enough, the soundtrack is also at indescribable levels, with astonishing sequences where music and art come together to create wonder.
Just from the new intro I knew this was going to be a magnificent series, and arc 4 does not disappoint at all.
