James Smith's Best Geezer is a lighthearted dramedy overflowing with unusual players and low-budget pluck. It completely rejects cynicism as it commits to its follow-your-heart ethos. Though undoubtedly wholesome, keep in mind that our heroes are making a cockney gangster film, and so there is plenty of swearing, often delivered with a ferocious snarl in the movie within the movie, Kick Your Head In. Fans of Ted Lasso, Snatch, American Movie, and Zack and Miri Make a Porno should find plenty to enjoy here. Look for it to arrive on Amazon Prime in the near future.

Best Geezer is a super film full of great characters and comedy. Following the naive but driven film makers through a shady world that could have backfired with devastating consequences was a gripping treat. The film quality is exceptional as is the writing complimented by a great soundtrack. The use of multiple sets and actors works to provide a fully realistic and engaging experience in the little explored world of Canvey Island. Truly touching with beautiful twists and turns a must see. This film deserves a wide distribution, audiences will love it congratulations to Raya Films on another success.

Best Geezer is a good attempt at making a comedy. It's hard to keep an audience on their seat but this feature doesn't seem to do that at times. Felt like it was too long to make a story like this however it was good to say the least. Average actors, some shine, some don't. Give it a watch cause it's worth it.

Absolutely love this film. From the Directors and writers of the award winning film Casting Kill comes a classic comedy that will have you chuckling throughout, especially if you hail from Essex UK. This film, like its predecessor, Casting Kill, has won awards and has been selected for the Skiptown Playhouse National Film Festival West Hollywood.

The story follows 3 hapless 'Geezers', fed up with making corperate videos from their shop in Canvey Island Essex, who decide to try their hand at making a Geezer film worthy of being shown at the Geezers awards. It features some top performances from a relatively unknown cast who nail every comical moment that you'd expect from the cast of Only Fools and Horses. The script is well written, well directed and well delivered and I can only see a bright future ahead for all involved. This film has already won awards and I am sure many more are to come. The only questions you will be left with is, what is a GEEZER and what makes a GEEZER. Because this is the best GEEZER movie you'll ever see.

This film celebrates the quirky but good natured oddness of the Essex hinterland, with a delightful character driven comedy. It is a perfect blend of drama laced with comedic moments which draws you in and gets you rooting for the unlikely protagonists of the film as they go from bumbling corporate video producers to suddenly finding themselves attempting to produce a blockbuster 'Geezer" film, aspring to rise from the insular backwater of Canvey Island to the bright City lights of Southend on Sea. It is well paced, well shot and has some great dialogue as well as some delightful character acting. A great example of independent British film making.
