Grass on the Streets and Weeds on the Rooftops

....is only another disappointment. There is nothing at the end of this season that makes me wish season 5 was coming soon. Not like last season did. Not even close. It was a lackluster season that reflected a half hearted effort from the writers.

I do look forward to the 6666 spinoff and the 1883 spinoff. Which, I can only surmise, was the intention of the writers for this entire ten episode let down.

Oh well. Nothing good lasts forever. Yellowstone was good. Damn good. Now? Not so much.

My friend Carmel loves this show. She's always waiting for the new season and she's even creating iCal events so she won't miss any of the episodes. Well, I on the other hand watch it casually and I have developed a love-hate relationship with it. Like all popular family dramas Yellowstone feeds of itself constantly by exaggerating so much that it holds the viewer accountable but at the same time on the brink of madness. You choose to watch Yellowstone so you as a viewer come with your long list. Yellowstone will cater for your needs. Do you want to watch more John Dutton philosophies? Do you want to see Beth being a total agro-lunatic? Do you want to weave some environmental issues? How bout we show you some rodeo things too? And what if we show you how big corporations want to destroy beautiful Montana? Want to see scars from the past, go do Casey's thing. And whatever these Yellowstone characters do, they do it because they either love (or hate) their family, the Duttons, or because they belong to the Duttons, the cowboys. Something so hyperbolic as the script of Yellowstone can only sustain itself with more hyperbole. It's pretty ironic how in all this madness all the side stories (Billy, Jamie's dad, Carter, the cowboys feud) is totally unimportant. It's a shame that they had the great Jacki Weaver but only used her as a possible Beth nemesis with little to no effect. What a waste!

The weakest season so far If it wasn't for the bunkhouse, and Jimmy Hurdstram trip to Texas, it'll be much worse We supposed to like beth, but apparently we can't, she's too powerful, i mean it would be perfect if the show is in the MCU or DC comics, not here Not even John has this much power, not realistic at all She is in fact my biggest problem this season, the writers relys on her to fix everything and it's not sitting well with me Also how they burn Jamie character is beyond me, he's now just a pawn in the game.

I'm not stopping watching it, love the show so much and it's not that bad to quit it, but i hope Taylor find the tracks quickly Also, 1883 is so damn amazing.

THIS SEASON WAS NOT the best one, the Kayce story was just dumb, really dumb, and his wife needs some self confidence, she is so jealous all the time. Boring. I love Beth, I know she is evil and horrible to people, but it fits and her and RIP fit also. I heard that Jimmmy and Ranch 6666 is getting a spin off series, so we will see more of that I am sure. Lloyd is just plain weird and the girls need to go, they suck. Hopefully next season willl be better.

I really like this show, im hooked, but why do I feel like nothing's really moved forward from the first episodes? What I specifically mean is the character arcs. It's getting really boring seeing Jamie being the punching bad of this show, Beth being the chaotic tornado that wrecks everything and then goes "oh sowy *tear eyed emoji*" and all is forgiven, Kayce straight up going away for a subplot that, again, will go nowhere with "the heir" thing that I thought was set up for him from the get go, and John just... I don't know. When I first started watching I thought this show filled a space that Succession left when it ended, but that show really had the feeling that no matter what happened there was an end goal, with character development and growth. This show, I don't know where it's going.

I think it ultimately boils down to the fact that the guy with the best arc of the whole show... is Jimmy, and what does that say about our main characters?
