Chhorii 2

Truely speaking the part 2 was not upto the expectation as part 1. The story was much diluted, even editing could be far better. Acting of all was so so.

As an Endocrinology resident I found a link with my subject. The herbal products given to 'Ratri' caused precocious puberty (vaginal bleed).

It is good to see a reflection of medical science in a movie where maximum make mockery of that. Though people are giving low rating for unnecessary prolongation of scenes those could be edited finely, I give 5/10 appreciating the medical knowledge projected through the story. Hope all my seniors and colleagues will second me.

Why can't we write one good horror script, man? Chorii 2 feels like it was written in a group chat at 2AM by people who've never seen a horror movie. The script is so painfully bad, even the ghosts look like they're dying of secondhand embarrassment. It's not scary, it's not spooky-it's just sad. The plot crawls slower than your Wi-Fi on a bad day, and the scares? About as effective as a damp cracker. Unless Bollywood starts investing in actual writers instead of recycling WhatsApp forwards into screenplays, this is the kind of trash we're stuck with. Watch at your own risk... or better, don't.

Part One ends with the death of Rajvir and a family member. The story of Chhori 2 picks up seven years later, continuing at the same location as the first part.

The plot is simple and more dramatic than thrilling. It lacks the excitement of the first movie, and many scenes feel unrealistic or hard to believe. The direction tries to follow the style of the original, but it doesn't quite succeed this time.

The film mainly focuses on the characters played by Nushrratt Bharuccha and Soha Ali Khan, both of whom deliver fair performances. However, the overall execution of the story is not up to the mark.

After watching, viewers are left wondering: Why did Rajvir wait seven years to take revenge? How did the other soul come and help Nushrratt? These unanswered questions weaken the impact of the movie.

In short, Chhori 2 had potential, but it could have been much better with a stronger script and tighter storytelling.

I, personally was really overwhelmed after the announcement of the 2nd installment of the series, the original was on loop on my screen. This excitement turned into disappointment when I finished watching Chhorii 2. Seriously, they left the climax unfinished, I am still asking my brain that weather the movie is completed or I skipped a bit of it! The actors were good, acted well, the sets were spooky, concept was unique but nothing gave TRUE colors to the film. Lack of proper management of scenes and even time to shoot the film, I guess...

I really felt that Soha Ali Khan could not fully portray her role. If the casting had been done better and an actress who had full grasp over the regional language and body language had been chosen, it would not feel so gimmicky. Nushrat, the little girl and the returning cast did not disappoint!

But I am a bit miffed by the storyline as I feel it had been halved assed.

Truly the trailer was scarier than the actual movie, so it could have just been segmented as a triller which would be justified.

Thankfully the open ending is gave me hope for a part 3 with solid writing and better casting.

I'm for sure looking forward to the third installment being announced soon.
