Athlete's Perspective Respected in The Edge
I used to be an athlete, and honestly I hadn't really considered how different the experience can be for women - beyond the obvious stuff like managing a period. The Edge opened my eyes. It shows, with real heart, the extra layers women navigate in sport: the scrutiny, the double standards, funding gaps, safety concerns, cultural expectations - things I'd never fully clocked. The performances are powerful, the regional setting is gorgeous, and the storytelling is honest without being preachy. I walked away with a deeper respect and understanding and I'm glad this film exists to help others get it too.
