"Blank" is a short film from Justin S. Lee and Kevin Tam--two guys who had never directed a film before based on their IMDb statistics. And, considering how inexperienced they are, it's a heck of a good film. But, it's also a bit hard to rate because instead of a typical short, it's more like a calling card--a clip to show what these folks can do in order, I assume, to impress investors for upcoming projects. And, if I had a few million extra dollars lying about, I might consider bankrolling these folks, as the film is quite nicely done from start to finish. The story involves two brothers who grow up in a criminal Chinese family. Where exactly all this goes, I'll leave it up to you to see for yourself. Very nice acting, cinematography and professionalism--this one is a keeper.
