A Visual Violation Of All senses
I went into this movie thinking i would be more of a semi sci fi drama. Which in some ways it is, but it is also so much more. The close ups and heightened sounds made it so much more uncomfortable. Instead of feeling grossed out after watching, I simply felt gross. Amazing performances from the entire cast, especially Dennis Quaids portrayal of a perverted and money hungry Tv-Executive. Without going into any spoilers, for the last sequence of the movie, i actually just sat with my mouth open in horror and confusion. With every new scene I felt like I drifted further away from sanity. As a last note, I want to give credit to the soundtrack, those bass filled bangers managed to give the calmest of scenes a sense of stress and urgency.
I hated every second of it, and that's why I love it.
