A very heartwarming episode.
Wade and the Planetary Defense Council gather a group of experts to discuss how to intercept the San-Ti fleet. It is established that if a probe were to reach at least 1% light speed, it would intercept the incoming ships in 398 years, giving Earth two years' advance knowledge.
The story between Will and Jin goes to a whole new level. Besides all the great story, visuals, and characters sometimes it's enough a few beautiful moments well edited.
Maybe this isn't the best episode of the season but the last 5 minutes of the episode was maybe the best one.
Will, have a nice trip out there between the stars.

I was looking forward to open, except about the beginning of the Chinese historical events close to the original, the other simply has nothing to do with the original. If you want to create, but at least respect the author Liu Cixin, who is based on the context of the Chinese era reflecting the struggles, compromises and expectations of the people of an era. The first thing is that the character relationships are particularly confusing, until I watched the second episode I didn't realize that my god it was like that, and then it's that the confusion of the character relationships leads to a plot that loses its logic, and the sex? Getting high? Have these actors not had sex in a long time? Oh, and the $120 million dollar investment results in the whole universe blinking for you actually looking at the light bulb, wtf? Is there no science advisor for that kind of money? Is this a trisomy created by a trisomy of people, please?
This is the lowest rated episode of the season and yet all the negative (and accurate) reviews are being downvoted. Strange. I guess only fanboys read reviews.
Anyway, if this were edited down to 22 minutes (the length of half and hour network tv) it would be a good episode. Keep the stuff that moves the way plot forward and get rid of the relationship stuff.
Episode summary: The "giant eye" formed in the sky by the San-Ti Sophon causes panic in the global population, leading to turmoil in major cities. Jin Cheng visits the imprisoned Ye Wenjie, questioning her about the need to attract the San-Ti to Earth.

A mini-series has to have a time to look into the heads of the characters once in a while. I know with the short attention spans out there, if there isn't some sort of overt action every two minutes they lose interest. Here we get to see what the consequences of the Panama incident are for individuals. On the one hand we have the loss of life and the judgment made by a small group; on the other the fallout in individual societies. The people are panicking, even though what they fear is 400 years in the future. Meanwhile, a plot is hatched to circumvent the attack. When is too soon? What sort of technology is available to even do what they have planned. One sort of sweet thing is the young man with the death sentence (pancreatic cancer) viewing the beauties of the world in the time he has left.
It's a bright and beautiful chapter that has a slow pace but every scene is enjoyable. Brilliant cinematography that portrays the feelings of each character. Something depressive but if we really take it from another perspective we can appreciate how beautiful this chapter is, although I know it can be difficult after those accelerated and excellent chapters 4 and 5, it is a chapter that must be seen calmly and without thinking too much and we will be able to see what is hidden behind it
In conclusion, it is a beautiful, slow chapter that leaves us with many messages that depending on each person it will deliver. To enjoy it more, you have to have a more relaxed look, take a short pause after chapter 5 and appreciate every moment of this chapter 6.

- TriviaThe name which Jin Cheng mentions in her presentation is Stanislaw Ulam, Polish Jewish mathematician, nuclear physicist and computer scientist. Amongst many scientific activities, he participated in the Manhattan Project and suggested nuclear pulse propulsion.
- ErroresThe Staircase Project plans to accelerate something to the San Ti by exploding bombs behind it to provide acceleration. No way to get the bombs in place ahead of the craft they will propel.
- Citas
Ye Wenjie: On the stage where my father was killed, there was a poster. I saw it all over Beijing that year. A man with a hammer smashing the Buddha, Jesus, and a rock and roll record. The slogan said, "Destroy the old world." "Forge the new world." It's the only thing I ever agreed with the Red Guards about.
