This is an exquisite half-hour of television. Bill Hader in the director's chair has proven to be a real asset, and this episode showcases his ability to seamlessly interweave tense, often heartbreaking dramatic setpieces with his trademark comedic flavor to tremendous effect. If you were still looking for reasons to get on this show, do it for this episode's perfect, and I mean *perfect*, concluding shots.

What a great episode. It didn't take long at all to get these storylines good and juicy. I'm loving this season so much. I realize we're only on episode 2, but if this momentum keeps up this will be an amazing season!

Are you people just realizing that Barry is not a good person?! Just because a character is the protagonist does not mean that you should cheer for him.

Henry Winkler has still got it!! The whole episode and acting is a master class. Without spoiling it: dogs, blue, choco lattes, bad dates, and flashlights.

Barry has completely lost it!

So in terms of craziness, I don't think anything can top that season 2's episode with that alien creature that took the form of a little girl, but this is probably the funniest episode I've seen. I don't remember laughing this much at an episode of Barry. This scene with the dogs and what happens next are one of the most goofy things that happened in this show and it was funnier than whole season 1.

So following the last episode's ending, Barry is at his wits end and is trying to make up for Mr. Cousineau and they all lead to a really funny second to last scene, and a pretty terrifying last scene.

So the first major scene is at Sally's work and Barry goes ape sht there and he's totally lost it. Great scene And the way Barry's eyes in that scene are bulging out reminded me of Gollum for some reason and I though "huh, he could do a really good Gollum". But funnily enough, and for much weirder reasons, when we get to the middle of the episode and Barry is talking about second chances, it felt like to me that Barry is Frodo and Mr. Cousineau is Gollum and reminded me of how Frodo viewed Gollum and why he wanted Gollum to be saved. I don't know, it's just me, maybe I should stop rewatching LOTR every year and think about it all the time lol. I don't think there's any other human bean that thought about Gollum while watching this episode.

Anyway, what happens next and what Sally does after this "conversation" of her with Barry, really made me come around about her character. Even though I didn't "hate hate' her in the first two seasons, but I didn't like her either and thought she was annoying. But this episode made me realize that she's not that bad, and obviously was never as bad as Barry.

Something I forgot to mention about why the comedy was so much better in this episode and me giggle, spit from laughter and laugh out loud, were the extras. Well, not exactly extras since they have lines and talk, but there were a couple of one-off minor and background (in this case foreground) characters that added so much reality and paradoxically goofiness, and also made the world of Barry more believable and lived-in. It's a great addition that either I didn't notice it before, or there weren't in the show at all, but they were more noticeable in this episode and made the episode so much funnier. Especially the dogs scene that I mentioned at the beginning. I hope they continue this "extra and background characters that add more comedy to the show" thing they did in this episode in future episodes, because those were mostly why I'm giving this a 10/10.

So even though this is a short show and this episode only has 27 minutes, they do a really great show actually giving us 3 separate plots, which two of them are connected, and progress them naturally in just a short time.

With the plot B of Sally, we have her teenage co-actress who gets worried for Sally after witnessing Barry going ape sht. So, we to wait and see what they are going with that plot line and I hope they don't make her character into another annoying season 2 Sally.

The next plot that is plot C, is about Cristobal and his relationship with NoHo Hank and a big development happens in their plot, and even though they way things happen with NoHo Hank seem really repetitive - the thing that happens to Cristobal is literally what happened to Hank in the previous seasons - it also weirdly feels natural and I guess the writers have to progress the Hank and Cristobal story in some way and not let them just sit in their house and enjoy their pool.

Anyway, most, if not all, of the comedy and serious stuff obviously comes from plot A that's the adventures of Barry the Killer and Gene Cousineau the Most Hated Acting Teacher in Hollywood.

All of the scenes with Barry trying to make up for Mr. Cousineau are great and their dynamic takes a turn at the end of episode with what Barry does, which was too low even for him, but also made sense, and you can see that Barry himself doesn't want that either, but he keeps digging himself deeper and makes you unsure of what his eventual fate in this show will be.

All in all, a great episode, probably not a 10/10 but the comedy was so good and made me laugh so much more than it did in season 1 and 2 that makes this one a 10/10 for me. Be looking forward to future episodes.
