The finale is gonna be insaneeeeee. Someone gave this a 1 and said it was another boring episode which just isn't true. So much happened! The only thing it was lacking in is action but Thats not necessarily a bad thing. I find myself going "ooooo" quite a few times.
This episode flew by! Felt like 5 minutes instead of 30!
Sally became something even worse than Barry and Gene in this episode. And to think only two episodes ago Natalie was being a good friend to her and consoling her.
Everyone in this show is on the neverending self-destructive cycle and the moment you feel like their characters have grown and evolved and you feel for them and you have actually grown to like them recently, they just do a 180 and become worse than they were before.
Her "apology" video was on point, her backing off into darkness reminded me of Barry going into the dark in the last season, and her elevator scene paralleled Barry's in the first episode.
Sally is in her Gene era and it's interesting to see what's next for her. But knowing Barry, they probably can do another 180 and make her likable again in just one episode and make it feel natural!
And even with Natalie, we see that she has her own assistant now and even though it wasn't as obvious as how Sally treated Natalie when Nat was her assistant, it still shows that this other cycle of "you work for me and I own you" still continues.
Sarah Goldberg was amazing again in this episode and gave a great performance that I think was probably her best scene in the whole show.
This episode had a really serious tone, but it still had funny moments like the hilarious scene with Hank and the dart. His next scene was tho, sounded really suspicious to me for some reason and I thought something was up, but I don't know why anyone would do that or what they want from Hank, so maybe it was straight storytelling and I'm reading into it too much.
The episode also had really amazing scenery with the sea that looked really realistic.
Fuches is the embodiment of Satan and he was really good in this episode as he is in every episode. I don't know what his plan is this time or how he's gonna get out of this.
All in all, this episode was one of the best episodes of the show, great acting from the main characters and one side character in particular that I didn't mention to avoid spoilers, great cinematography as always with great use of zoom, and they put every character in the most intense situations they've been.
I don't know how they're gonna wrap up all these plot lines in the finale tho, but again, knowing Barry (or rather not knowing since you never know what's gonna happen next), they probably could wrap up the whole show in the finale if there was no season 4, and obviously, somethings are gonna be left loose for season 4, but there's still a lot of things they need to wrap in the finale and I can't wait to see it!

I did like the tense and dark moments. I can tell they are setting up the finale. I hope it is a strong one because a lot of this episode just felt like a wasted opportunity. Zero care for Sally's story arc. I don't mind the lack of comedy here, but most of 33 minutes was just boring. Barry, Gene and Noho Hank's journey is still interesting but there just wasn't enough to really suck you in. Too fragmented. Episode 8 better be a powerhouse.
This episode did not have an ounce of comedy or levity. It was suspense and sadness, but SO GOOD. The next episode has a lot riding on it to tie everything in this season together.
This one was a miss. Took a lot of the momentum the season had away. The dream/coma thing has been done to death (and much better). Seems like this show has a lot more to tell but it's spinning the wheels. Hopefully it will get back on track.

- TriviaJim Moss mentions that he went to "SERE school". SERE (Survival, Evasion, Resistance and Escape) is a military program with grueling survival courses that educates service members with the skills needed in the possible event of capture by enemy forces. However, it is pronounced as "sear", rather than "Siri" as Jim does in the episode.
