Season 5 has resumed production after the Writers strike ended on September 27, 2023 and the SAG-AFTRA strike ended on November 9, 2023. The Duffers have released vague set photos on Instagram and the cast were then confirmed to be flying to Atlanta to start table reads in the few weeks after. Filming is said to be starting in early January 2024.
