Breaking Brad

I have no idea what's going on in this series. The plot seems neglected in favor of disconnected scenes. What's happening? Why are the characters motivated to act in certain ways? Who is everyone? What's this all leading toward? The episode is rather heavy handed at times in demanding that the viewer make an emotional investment, yet without realizing what is at stake this is asking for more than is provided. The chemistry between Hiddleston and Wilson is good and that keeps the scenes flowing. Oddly enough, the script is better written than the storyline itself. Again, what is happening and what is the point in this season? It's not clear and it's not clear why I should care.

I hope this review sticks this time.

Probably the most intense marvel Cinematic Universe Disney Plus episode.

What was this episode of Loki About?:

It was about finding Sylvie the female variant and crush of Loki Laufyson.

The story and the production overview:

Very intense. Finally got to see Loki be Loki. His powers were awesome.

The pacing was also magnificent. Never had so much fun watching a Marvel Cinematic Universe show since Loki season one

Overall, Hella fun. No pun intended.

Highlight:

Loki's Powers and him being the God of Mischief.

Suspense level: 8

Anyone up for some McDonald's?

A 7/10 because the episode feels dragged out, and not so much actually happens. But the score is hold up and the episode works very well because of the magnificent acting and great dialogue. This is one of the best acted TV shows Marvel has ever done.

This also show us that the general idea behind the current Marvel story of timelines and alternative universes can work if done correctly. Still a bit confusing for many viewers, but here it work.

There are no real negatives in direct sense, except perhaps the way to obvious product placement from the worst food no one should ever eat. Instead my negatives about this episode is that although the dialogue and acting is amazing, it is also a bit too much of it. They drag things out too much.

Overall a good Episode but a lot of confusion at the start of the episode after the first part of the episode was done I found myself going back to last week episode and had to re watch the end of Episode 1 again as I thought I missed something because the way Episode 2 starts makes you question if they uploaded Episode 3 by mistake. As the Episode continues it starts to all add up more and more however it does not make up for the confusion which is the first ten to twenty minutes of the Episode.

Like all current Marvel it is good without being great and makes you question if it's a story that needs to be told.

The series is alright. It's arguably one of the most high-stakes stories in the entire MCU, involving entire timelines and the multiverse itself. The story, the acting, and the characters are decent, and the production is solid. But I'm just not as invested as I feel I should be. There's this recurring theme of billions of people facing doom in the first two episodes of season 2, but it doesn't faze me at all. The show isn't bad; it's more like I've lost interest in the characters. Maybe it's superhero burnout; I can't say for sure. I can't help but compare it to how engaged I was when Thanos was wielding just five Infinity Stones to wipe out half of one universe. Now, with entire timelines and billions more lives at stake, and where Infinity Stones are mere paperweights, my enthusiasm is lacking.

In episode 2, one of the most devastating tragedies and loss of lives in the MCU occurs, but it didn't affect me as it should have. I'll continue watching the rest of the season, but if the show were canceled right now, it wouldn't bother me all that much, making it difficult for me to label it as a great show. I think even if those who enjoy it asked themselves if they'd truly be heartbroken if they couldn't watch the show anymore, and the answer might be not as much as expected.

It's not particularly memorable. I'll tune in for the new episode, but by the time I watch another show's episode, Loki tends to fade from my mind. It's not bad, but it simply fails to make a lasting impression. Of course, Loki is crucial to the new Multiverse phase of the MCU and the introduction of Kang, and it's on a grand scale, but for some reason, it doesn't slap I expected it to.
