The last episodes of Attack on Titan are covering one chapter of the original material each. I guess that this means that the story won't be concluded with Part 2 at this point and probably left for a movie or a Part 3. The plot is interesting as always, there are some old acquaintances returning in this episode (finally!) but the story pacing is as slow as the first season now (which is not bad, but could be a bit faster). Overall a good episode that sets the ground for future events.
Not every episode needs insane action or crazy plot twists. Transitional episodes like this are essential to making the story flow. It's a solid, necessary episode, nothing more nothing less.
To me this was a nice breath of fresh air, after the last couple of crazy episodes riddled with plot twists and action! Instead this episode was character focused, with small, satisfying moments! The animation is superb as always, with the colossal titans looking really good! Now i am just excited too see what moral descissions our characters .will make.
No spoiler as we found out in the last episode that all the hardening was undone thus breaking Annie free.
Not a potentially big episode but still great as always. We focus more on Annie's goals reflecting the paths she's taken and her intentions on getting back home. Armin and Mikasa's debate on Eren. Connie's focus on getting his mother back and Floch's continuation on power play.
Like i said in the review for the last episode, the atmosphere for this series has changed since the rumbling and a mist of depression and even desperation flows from character to character. The story is intense at this point and keeps on giving.
Seeing Hange near the end with Levi's body could tease a possible Levi return before the end of the series.
A slowed down episode but tensional all the same.
9.0/10.

This episode gave us a deep look at the past and present of some characters, the conversations were good and I loved them too, and there were no scenes of the main event and the plot, but it was necessary to know some information about the main or important characters, especially Annie's past.
